Rename Blob Clade 2 to Lagus Blob Clade

Vote: Develop two thin tissue layers with one being inner tissue housing multiple of it's cells and no cilla, while outer tissue merges with cell wall retaining it's cilla.

Since light sensors might be a bit tricky to get right, I suggest developing oil-filled vacuoles to help with staying buoyant (and incidentally store carbon for lean times).

On a side note:  after doing some research, it appears that what I actually had in mind for the first mutation was not olfactory sensors (in fact it should have been impossible to evolve olfactory sensors without first evolving nerve cells), but actually chemotaxis.  Oh well, better luck next time.

Olfactory receptors (as it turns out) are basically modified nerve cells.  Can’t evolve olfactory sensors without first having nerve cells to evolve into them.

I know. But this isn't Earth, the evolution goes anyway you want. So let's just say that your olfactory dots are made up by an entirely different system. The problem is that you have no way of using them.
