Despite the lack of supporting organs, the Lamia's speech comes out just the same as if she were alive. Well, mostly, at least. Perhaps a little bit spookier, more ethereal.

As for her words, seeing as she not among her own kind she tries speaking the Aldamian language. She doesn't know it extremely well, and the version she learned is far out of date, but it is possible to interpret.

((It would appear that we had different ideas as to language and posted them at nearly the same time, Tric. Oh well, I'll leave it to the others' consensus who has right-of-way.))

((So it seems. I can edit mine easily enough though.))

(Edited. I'm using Lao/Google Translate as the presumed Lamia language. Well suited for a tail. Mine is Greek.)

((Your bbcode does seem a little broken in places. Or rather, what looks like HTML code?))

(I have no clue how to work that < br > tag. ] in an abbr I also suggest. As you can see if you read the abb first.)

((Yeah, I don't think there's a way to work linebreaks into abbr. If there is I don't know it and would be happy to learn. :P))

(They are at least useful as translations. I think Bird is going to need them for you to understand. Caw! ;))

Tom considers the possibilities of his situation.  At best, he had been snatched up by some battlefield scavengers. More likely, the Dreadknights had taken him for horrid rituals. Tom had heard the stories, and wanted no part in becoming one.

 He felt  the vines draped across his body.  Did they mean to bind him with these?  It didn't matter.Where there  are vines, there is Life. And Life is never truly gone.  Something the coffin containing him could do well to remember.
  Tom embraces the Ivy's Ardor, granting the strength of the vines to his own body.  With this bolstered strength, he  attempts to open the coffin once more.

"Uhm, uh, hello?  Are all of you, um, the evil... the, uh, necromancer's soldiers?"

The skeletal snake woman glances between her four hands.

"...Am I?"
Henric shrugs. He's generally not the one to ask.

If Henric hears someone trying and failing to escape from the earth, or notices the ground shifting and turning, he'll do the helpful thing and pull them out. Otherwise, he just stands about, keeping an eye on things, especially the snakeleton.

((Alright, I'm not gonna use GT to get different script for all my character's speech.  I mostly post (and read) from a phone, which makes that very annoying to do.  I also would prefer you not use abbr for speech I need to understand, because abbrs aren't readable on mobile--I have to login, then quote the post and read the raw bbcode to figure out what you're saying.  I know abbrs are awesome, and I like using them myself, but... yeah, it's a real headache when used for something that needs to be visible.  I'll be using {brackets} to indicate snakespeak, myself.))

((Also a minor comment.  At least for me, when reading speech written in an alphabet I can't read, I just imagine white noise in my head.  I generally recommend describing how the language sounds without writing the words themselves, or using a phonetic spelling in latin script.  You are right, Lao looks absolutely perfect for a snake language... but it's white noise to me.  :-\ ))

{Oh!  Someone who speaks Liablin!  Um, it's... or I guess it was... the, er, forty-fourth of Aleshra's seedling.  I don't remember what that is in the time of your people, though... Ah!  My name is Mrush'shalva!  May I have yours?  Also, if the one who brought me back wasn't the evil one, was it you?  You look so young, yet you speak my language...}

[Liablim]{"While difficult, yes. It was something I learned to help with translation work. I am Τιμ. I am not quite sure how long that time between our lives is exactly, but it is fairly long."}

Tim pauses for a moment in thought.

[Μανκίν(Or Man'kin, Greek)]Based upon that, it is likely to have been a long time... How.. [[Necromantic Energies are free, no binding Necromancer active.]]
... Where did that knowledge come from? Well, if there aren't any, can I bind them?

[Liablim]{"It may be that whatever necromancy that brought us back is not controlled by anyone. This can easily be tested by binding one of the dead. Hmm. Perhaps that bird over there? It doesn't seem phased by us, so I guess it's also dead. Even if not, it would be afterward."} [Μανκίν(Or Man'kin, Greek)]Though how, I have little clue? I mostly focused on Fire Magic. Still no harm in trying.

Bind Bird's necromantic energy to me in contract using my own necromantic energy?

(That's a bit rude, Tric, although understandable since recognizing the bird as a people seems unlikely.)

Bird flies a few circles around the undead, trying to determine if they're the smart undead that kill things or the stupid undead that get killed, eventually settling on them being the smart ones.

After that, it lands and introduces itself with a Caw, before realizing that they're unlikely to speak Crow, and he probably should take another tack.

It then writes a "Hi" on the ground, using its beak.

[Man'kin Thoughts]Which language is that.. Common? [Aldamian.]
... I really need to figure out where this knowledge comes from.

[Aldamian]"Fancy trick, but is it just that?" [Man'kin mumbles]"May have butchered that."

(Very unlikely, though a team of a princess, a lamia, and a bird is the strange type of thing that seems fun. Aldamian seems to be the most common language others could translate by Egan's description.)

"Caw!" The bird caws back, upon hearing it's a trick.

"Caw, Caw, Caw!" It speaks, wings fluttering.

"No Trick" it then writes, followed by,

"Smarter than you."
