Tom and Fiona both wander off into the woods in search of fufillment and have wonderful adventures somewhere away from my sight. What precisely becomes of them? Well, not even BASS knows.

Shalva
Quote from: ...
The light too bright, the heat too hot to stand!
Away, away and to freedom. Into the great cosmos. To the great one.
Where once you sat, merely the gap between two scales...

Now, a prayer.

[Gained skill: Prayer +1]

Bird
[Determination + Stupid Bird: 15]
The crow rapidly begins to fill its head with the most inane bullshit possible!
Shockingly, the corvid finds this extremely easy to do!

"Ugh, w-what are you doing, you stupid bird! You're hurting my mind..."

With a pop, the voice, and its pressure disappear. For a second, all that can be heard is the roar of the flames engulfing the bird and everything else nearby.
However, not forever. The small zombie which Moldbin had picked flaming meat off of speaks.

"Go and spread the flame. Start fires. Consume it all for me. And GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE YOU DUMB BIRD!"

Moldbin takes off immediately and flies away from the village. The command is unquestionable. But it would seem Moldbin earned the privledge of acting upon it in whatever way it likes, without oversight.
Oh, and it gained some power, too. Power is good, right?

[Gained skill: ‼Vessel Aflame‼ +3]
[Gained 1 Stat point]

Henric
Henric finds a suitable stick and eases the odd flame onto it. It seems to balance on top, not unlike a perching owl. Or perhaps not unlike the flame of a torch. It is strange.

With torch in one hand and shovel in the other, the skeleton trudges to the town neighboring the graveyard he started in. The village proper is... nice. Maybe even a little rustic. The simple wooden homes remind Henric of better times.

There seems to be nobody out and about at the moment. It's night time. Henric isn't entirely sure what time of night it is, having become alive during the middle of the night.
[Observation: 13]
Actually, Henric can see a minor glow over the horizon. Sunrise must be soon.

Light conversation with the flame reveals nothing particularly new. The flame says that it is flame, and it wishes to burn and consume. Perhaps it doesn't yet understand names or desires.
Henric does learn by asking about where the flame came from that it had not existed prior to being conjured by Henric, and was a part of Henric in some way. This is strange, however. Usually when a person actualizes their inner spirit, that energy doesn't become concious. But that seems to be just what this flame is: magical energy given conciousness and angency but without the mind or memories of a living thing. And it's not something that Henric crafted intentionally from his energy, it just happened naturally.

"Yes!  Yes, you are Samsaa!  I'm sorry, we couldn't fight back, and I was... I don't really understand, but I'm back now!"

Shalva suddenly hesitates.  "But, but I don't want to return yet!  I still have more I need to do!  Please, Samsaa, let me stay alive a little longer?"

"And you shall. The... Lamia, shall live on. That is my will."

Quote from: ...
You're lifted up into the cosmos and held.
A great one's embrace.

"I was so hungry. Without your love, I forgot myself. The great beings of your world, they locked me away. You should thank them, for it means the world still exists, and so do you. And now I have you."

Well, this is something.

(If being a ‼️bird‼️ wasn't so incompatable with reading books, Moldbin might even cooperate.  Power is good, and it would help him show that wizard what for.)

Fly back to the snakelady, might need some help and the priestess might be willing to help out.  Seemed friendly with snakelady, and snakelady seemed friendly enough in her own right.

Play around with the power a little bit.  Can I breathe fire?  Throw a few firebolts around while I travel, for the fun of it, and to fight the urge to set everything on fire by voluntarily bringing forth a little fire.

Don't spend the point yet.

"Yes!  Yes, thank you Samsaa!  I will carry on your memory!"

Shalva vibrates in excitement, twisting her long body around in chaotic lashing patterns.

"...But, wait.  The lamia... are there others?  Or will you make more of us?  Or... will I always be the last one?"

Bird
Enflamed, Moldbin sails right back to where it started.
Starting a couple forest fires along the way. It seems able to launch controlled bursts of flame a decently far distance, which doesn't even tire it out much unlike other magics. It can also vaguely direct the fires once they're started. For a definition of "direct" which does not contain "contain".

Alighting in the dark graveyard, the crow notes that the area is not empty but for the various corpses littering the grounds. Nothing living or animate in sight.
Probably the snake is inside of the temple. The wooden temple. Moldbin can suppress its flames visually using Semblance, but such an appealing pile of fuel would be difficult to resist if it got any closer.

Shalva
"The first Lamia took eons to emerge. I must admit, it was a beautiful accident. Now, alas, they are no more."

Quote from: ...
A shooting star races over the eye. A great regret.
Then, a smashing, a crunching, everything getting smaller.
Just void left, and her. One of you. The most glorious possible you.

"Alas, all murdered to a soul by a staggering fool. He thought to use the dark soul to live forever. He came so close, even the great beings of the world could not pry him off."
She puts a couple hands on your shoulder.
"I won't task you to avenge them, for the deed has already been done. A bit of that dark soul is yours, now. I can do little, but you may grow as strong as that man was, in time. You can do anything. I task you with the same task a worshipped one tells to a hero since the beginning."

She puts her hands together, as if praying.
"Seek glory. In glory lies power. In power lies change. The only way to change the world is to be without fear."
She shuts her eyes.
"With just one Lamia, I still lack the lucidity to escape this place. I may seem personable to you, but I am like a wild beast. The future is yours."

Henric waits in the centre of the village, until the cock crows and the sun rises. He then asks the villagers if there's anything he can help with - any jobs for a skeleton and novice practitioner of the magical arts.

He feeds the flame if it looks like going out and recounts his life story to it to while away the dark hours.

[Influence: 7]
Leaning on his shovel, Henric takes some time to talk to his little flame, occasionally tossing it edible debris. It...
Doesn't seem to listen.

He can see the sun just starting to rise over the horizon. Oddly at the exact same time a yawning woman steps out of her home.
Seeing the skeleton, she yells in surprise and runs away. Hmm, this might make conversation difficult.

Avoid going in, just stay outside for a time.  If the urge comes upon me, set something other than the temple on fire.  Caw loudly and land on it in the hopes someone comes out.

Henric shrugs. A reaction to be expected.

He continues to stand in the centre of the village, watching the sun rise, and talking to anyone brave enough to speak to him.
