during the last expedition Azarian partook in, he was waging battle against the kragoliths that dominated the parabes moutain range, freeing the local ogres and persuading the Dalith crusters to join Zethe while retaining neutrality with the stonewings. His forces were not enslaved, consisting primarily of harpies and floating occuli.
The harpies served as messengers and a sort of aerial light infantry, while the occuli were exceptional scouts and camp watchers. Azarian rarely ever retained controlled forces outside of their homelands, and generally attempted diplomacy before employing them.

Eversor's forces during the subjugation of the Latze Plains were mainly composed of undead beasts and skeletal warriors, along with a small, but elite cadre of Tartarian Forgotten Guards. Though, aside from a small skirmish at the beginning, Eversor has dominated the Bartoros mostly just with his own personal might, according to the Law of the Strong. Now that he has returned, he wishes to bring the Bartoros herd leaders, including Zadan-Yoof - a Silverhorn Bartoros who personally impressed him, before King Radeus himself to officially pledge their allegiance to Zethe.

Due to being sealed nearby, the location long lost beneath the desert sands. It was where the great battle against it once took place, and was once wonderous with natural beauty.. Now all that remains is lost, sand and dust from the march of time.

Ashuri-Zagos knows that he is not a warrior by nature, that his very being is align against direct destruction. So, he shall support his new ally, Zethe, not through combat, but by building the foundations for which the nation to prosper. War will not run an economy, nor feed it's people, nor create art and culture. What he offers Zethe is his guidance in creating a grand civilization, to teach it how to shape it's bountiful resources into the finest of crafts, to set up the trade and commerce that shall be it's life blood, to design the grand architecture that will stand long past the current generation, to bring it's people together under a shared culture of art and knowledge. He can not offer glorious war, nor the utter destruction of their enemies, but he can give it prosperity and protection.

Of course, to start doing that he must first survey what building blocks he has to work with. Ashuri will begin with interacting with the common people of Zethe, learning of their traditions, their beliefs, their current way of life.

I already love the way things are shaping up. We have a military commander, a intelligence and research expert, and a economist/logistical supervisor working for Zethe with a legion of elite undead, a mobile group of scouts and messengers, and most likely a workforce of strong and nimble creatures for each of these army leaders in Zethe. Why take one route to victory when you can take all three at the same time?

As an interesting note on mine, the 12 Keystones can easily be divided into groupings of 4. The Elements' Temples Keystones, The Heroes' Kin Keystones, and the Virtuous Prosperity Keystones. The last is the three Virtuous Races and the Monstrous Race.[With the last linked to their lack of prosperity.]
Actually breaking the Kin Keystones is next to impossible of course. If they were to be broken, they would be last and through some ritual. To break the Temples Keystones would require the utter destruction of each Temple and their Priestess. The last four are easier since they will crack as the Monsters succeed and if Virtuous Races fall from grace.

Waits eagerly.

It that Oozes
The Collective known as It that Oozes knew in some capacity that the gods did not have the best interests of the Slimes in mind, so it wasn't hard for the message of Radeus to resonate among it. It longed for the old days where you couldn't walk through a wide open field without encountering a few slimes along the way.

Though the newly assembled collective was a bit lacking on information about what was going on outside of the swamp. Its first goal would be to establish a presence beyond the swampland, then meet up with the other Monstrous races.

Four Squads would split off from the Slime Legion to form scouting parties, and would then head off in four different directions to explore the other lands. The rest of the slimes would patrol the swamps. Their primary goal is to learn about the area, and they would try to avoid unnecessary conflict for the time being. Their secondary goal is to find a suitable place to form a new colony of slime.

While the amount of slimes that the hive could simultaneously control was not by any means infinite, a slime not under direct control was still an asset. These extra Slimes could live as slimes do until called upon when needed.

I won't lie, this sheet felt like a letter of challenge!

Aeon's Traits:
[Son of Idna - Phantom Beast Progenitor] - Aeon is the demigod progenitor of an ancient race of monsters called Phantom Beasts, beings who held great powers in the old world. The spark of divinity within Aeon protects him from most magical laws, but his ascendance caused him to be cursed to be unable to wield and understand the New World's powers.
+ Reduced CP cost of Phantom Beasts
+ Bonus (+2) during Magic actions against you
+ Bonus (+2) during Magic actions related to the Old World
- Malus (-2) during Magic actions related to the New World with you as a source

[Power of the Concepts] - Aeon's power finds its source in the Concepts, an ancient power that was lost with the transition to the New World. Concepts no longer permeate the world, having been replaced by new powers mandated by the Virtuous Gods. They are instead confined to specific and scarce locations. Furthermore, the New World's magic becomes poison to Aeon in too great amounts.
+ Bonus to Strength and Magic (+2 each) in places tied to the Concepts
- Malus to Strength and Magic (-2 each) in places where the New World's magic is Pure

[Sealed One] - Aeon's soul was sealed by the Virtuous Races during an ancient conflict, and 12 Keystones were created to keep the seal. It is unknown what happened to its body, and not even Aeon remembers where its true body lies.
+ Bonus to Strength and Magic (+1 each) for every 3 Keystones broken.

Aeon's Skills:
[Birth Phantom Beast] - As the progenitor, Aeon is still able to create Phantom Beasts though they pale in comparison to the Phantom Beasts of yore.
+ Can use an action to generate troops of varying quality.

SHALFAR
Player: Aeon

In his slumber, Aeon heard the call of Radeus, jolting him awake in a scorching desert. The call was heard by the Djinns and Scorpidians of Shalfar, causing a great disturbance in their usually peaceful lives. The half-elemental humanoids known as Djinns worried that someday, this Kingdom known as Zethe would disturb their secluded lives while the hedonistic half-scorpion, half-humanoid Scorpidians scoffed at the thought an unknown monstrous kingdom could even achieve what they proclaimed they would.

Aeon the Phantom Beast

You have been living in Shalfar for a few weeks now, among the reclusive and silent Djinns and Scorpidians of Shalfar. You remember your battle with the four heroes who sealed you, while the Gods fought greater battles above and below. While the mortals managed to seal your soul away, you remember they couldn't seal your true body. Yet your true body is missing, and you cannot feel its presence in this desert.

Nevermore just needed to gain the position of an adviser to the Dragon King himself before it can begin its own plan, first to travel to the Peak of Dragonking and seek audience with himself, scribing and researching inside his own necronomicon spellbook the current hierarchy of the dragon’s social stratification such as other people who serve the King and those below it, as well what is considered a “citizen” or “soldier” in such a civilization. But then requesting to Jotul or Girgnongal of giving a complement of their standard soldier dragons to help push their forces against the Giants, or even some wyrmlings to command for the purposes of future research and experimentation, promising that with Nevermore’s collective knowledge of magic, pooled together with the dragon’s might and mastery over the arcane; that they can finally conquer the Giant’s realm once for all and for Nevermore to gain the respect of the Dragons

Aeon thought, and went to speak with the leaders in the The Palace of the Scorpidians. He had great power, and would be willing to create a Wellspring of Water for them to draw from.

If they do agree, find a location and begin the ancient call to crystalize a concept of water, from which water would form endlessly, until it formed a lake. So long as the crystal remained, so too would the lake. Normally a crystal would not even be needed, but such is this world in tis time. It shall do.

[First action is improving the lives of this kingdom. By doing so, would they be more grateful and would improve their lives, itself a good task to weaken the 12th.]
[Also, letter of challenge indeed. Those are some scary traits.]

Side-Turn 0.1: Year 1 of the Zethean Calendar - 1st Month

ZETHE

Players: Eversor, Ashuri-Zagos, and Azarian.

Spoiler: Known Regions (click to show/hide)

Eversor the Animated Armor

Eversor - Pledge of the Bartoros

By using the might of Zethe with wisdom and control, you managed to conquer the Latze Plains with a single skirmish. Earning yourself the respect of the Bartoros Herds, as well as the numerous strength admiring Zethean, you have returned accompanied with the Herd Leaders so that they pledge their allegiance before the King himself.

And so were they blessed with the chance to witness the full glory of the Zethean Throne Room. Led to the throne room by Eversor himself and a host of Tartarian Guards, they saw the obsidian throne of Zethe upon which sat its rightful king, surrounded by its most loyal and mighty subjects. You saw them instinctively bow before the golden gaze of the King, whose aura inspire loyalty and obedience in even the most untamed beasts.

Endovar smiled at you beneath its facial tentacles, silently commending your achievement.

You also introduced Zadan-Yoof, a Silverhorn Bartoros with whom you share mutual respect, to the Zethean court. He was in your opinion, a Bartoros of great potential who would become a pillar of the herds integration in Zethe... What did you say to the king, and the other Zethean Lords?

[The Bartoros have pledged allegiance to Zethe!]

Azarian the Thoughbeast

Azarian - Respect of the Ogres

Through shrewd diplomacy and respect of each groups individuality, Azarian managed to conquer the Parabes Mountain Range with minimal fighting and casualties, an impressive feat that proved to the doubtful monsters of Zethe that word and reason were as potent as the swords and claws.

Impressed by Azarian's humble and respectful behavior, the liberated Mountain Ogres wished to help him by integrating his forces.

[A Parabes Mountain Ogres Squad wishes to join your Forces!]

Quote
Parabes Mountain Ogres Squad
Command Points: 1
Upkeep: Food+
Size: o
Integrity: o o o
Morale: o o
Combat Rating: 7
Special Traits:
[Big-Eaters] - +1 to Food upkeep
[Mountain Warriors] - +1 when fighting in Mountains/Hills

Special Abilities: None

Ashuri-Zagos

Despite being a new addition to the Zethean Lords, you were always respected by your peers and talked to as an equal. In a way, it was a strange change from the vague memories you had about your interactions with the other Gods, who were at best uncaring, and more often than not condescending.

First you went to meet the common monsters of Zethe, accompanied by a Zethean known as Bulu. A calm and collected creature looking like a floating manta with four long feelers growing near its mouth, who as part of the communication division was ready to answer to your questions.

Ashuri-Zagos - Beliefs of the Zethean

The common people of Zethe are an extremely varied bunch due to coming from vastly different regions. From mighty beasts to intelligent undead, and elemental beings to varied humanoids... it is almost shocking how all these different races are somehow coexisting in Zethe. From your interactions with these varied individuals, you first and foremost learnt that the core belief that united them was their unwavering trust and loyalty toward the King and his close entourage. They believed in Zethe's ability to change the world, and they earnestly believed and shared the dream of their King. Apart from their quasi-religious faith in the kingdom, they highly value strength and martial prowess, as well as diligence and hard work. Zethe is a meritocracy, after all.

Ashuri-Zagos - Traditions of the Zethean

As a young kingdom and a people without history, the Zethean possess no tradition at all which doesn't seem to bother them, and is in a way an advantage in this mixed society. Without tradition they are all the same, and lack a reason to oppose their fellow citizens. Another point is that the great majority of them were under the effects of the Virtuous Curse before they came to Zethe, and for that reason alone many of them are extremely grateful to Zethe.

Ashuri-Zagos - Way of Life of the Zethean

The Zetheans way of life is not a lazy one. There is always a mountain of work to be done, and they spend much of their time working for the good of the kingdom. As much as possible seems to be made to accommodate everyone's needs, which is a tremendous task due to the range of species in Zethe, and the Tartarian Guards are sometimes seen patrolling the streets to ensure order is respected. You do notice and heard that the Tartarian Guards rarely need to intervene as troublemakers are usually quickly subdued by the Zetheans themselves.

However not everything is perfect in Zethe. While the people's hearts are currently united, unrest and disorder will inevitably appear once the high of the kingdom's creation and achievement will die down. Stability is seen as the highest priority by the Zethean Lords, and this headache of an issue is a battlefield of its own. Furthermore life is not bright for the non-citizen of Zethe, which refers to those who committed a crime, or refused to swear allegiance to Zethe after being subjugated. These non-citizens are used as cattle to feed the growing population, or slaves for the ongoing construction projects.

For now the concepts of trade and commerce are largely unknown in Zethe, where the kingdom provides to all of the citizens needs. To your dismay, the Zetheans do not have awakened to their artistic sense yet.

RAIRANOS

Player: Nevermore

Spoiler: Known Regions (click to show/hide)

Nevermore the Ravenfolk Lich

Nevermore - Meeting the Red Dragonking

The draconic kingdom follows a simple hierarchy. The Dragonking rules over all, and the Dragonlords possess special privileges and form the council of Rairanos. In Rairanos there are only dragons, and a citizen is also a soldier. Non-dragons cannot become part of Rairanos, which would normally mean you will never be able to become part of Rairanos. However you can be made honorary dragon, a title that will make you officially a dragon. The number of honorary dragons within Rairanos are incredibly scarce, counting in the single digits.

With the influence of Jotul, you were granted an audience with the Dragonking Girgnongal, the mighty red dragon who ruled over Rairanos. Here you shared your plans, and your ambition to help make the Draconic Kingdom the one true kingdom of these mountains. The Dragonking sneered when you confidently assured that finally, the Giants would fall with your assistance.

"Is it so? You would be the key to tipping the scales in our favor?"

Jotul intervened, bowing before the Dragonking.

"It is so, your Highness. While small in stature, Nevermore's magical abilities rival mine and surpass many dragons. I am willing to relinquish my position as the Black Dragonlord if my judgement is wrong."

"You would? You who only returned from your journey when your previous kin perished in battle? I give you one month to show results that will satisfy me. That should be more than enough, yes?"

THE SLIME HIVEMIND

Player: It that Oozes

Spoiler: Known Regions (click to show/hide)

It that Oozes

It that Oozes - Sending Scouts

Roused by the call of a distant king, It that Oozes felt the need to leave the swampland. Sending squads of slimes in four directions, it ordered them to learn about the outer areas and its inhabitants.

The simple slimes set off in four squads, stretching the limits of the network's range. As soon as they left the confines of the Slime Swamp, communication became unstable, and long periods of silence occured. And when the first reports came, the very smart (for a slime) It that Oozes remembered how simple were slimes left to their own devices.

[Scouting Progress]
Slime Squad 1: [3] - 2 (Mindless) = 1
Slime Squad 2: [1] - 2 (Mindless) = -1
Slime Squad 3: [2] - 2 (Mindless) = 0
Slime Squad 4: [6] - 2 (Mindless) = 4

Only one squad answered with useable information, saying "trees trees trees". It was the southern squad, meaning they had found an abundance of trees southward. The remaining three squads were sending basic slime signals every now and then, meaning they were still alive at least.

[Unknown potentially forested region found in the South!]

SHALFAR
Player: Aeon

Spoiler: Known Regions (click to show/hide)

Aeon the Phantom Beast

Aeon - Conjuring a Wellspring

Aeon went to meet the lazing Scorpidians in their palace of golden stone. The Scorpidian Queen Shikalki received you in one of the palace courtyards filled to the brim with fruit bearing trees.

"A spring you say? Hohoho! How amusing! We have no particular need of water here thanks to the waters of the oasis, but it sounds like an entertaining trick!"

[Opportunity: Conjure a wellspring (Magic)]
Attribute used: Magic 2
Trait applied: [Son of Idna - Phantom Beast Progenitor] +2
Result: 12 + 2 = 14 [Partial Failure]

The curious and entertainment looking Scorpidians followed Aeon to a rocky place devoid of water. Conjuring the powers of the old world you crystallized the Concept of Water into a crystal, causing water to pour seemingly endlessly from it. The crowd gasped in amazement and applauded, but the excitement died down a bit when the water stopped pouring, having only managed to form a large pool. The crystal then shattered, drained of all its power.

The Scorpidian Queen laughed heartily, quiet pleased.
"That was an entertaining trick my dear guest! But, this is not a spring, a large pool rather?"

Indeed what she said was true, for that was no spring. You understood that the glorious powers you once held were currently a thing from the past, and even the power of the concept was but a mere shadow of their golden age.
