A question about automining...
« on: November 15, 2020, 12:42:28 am »

I'd like to use automining on some veins that I'm currently mining by hand, but I'm concerned that my miners might mine out some walls that I don't want them to mine out.

Is there any way to protect the walls from automining, or am I better off designating by hand?

Really hoping somebody puts this in their signature.

I have that concern when auto-mining near cavern walls that show ore. If you set a 'm'arker 'd'ig designation on the cavern wall, then the auto-mining designation will not overwrite it, allowing you to safely auto-mine near the cavern wall.

There is something to be said about, if the stakes are as high, maybe reconsider your certitudes. One has to be aggressively allistic to feel entitled to be able to trust. But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.
