First crash
« on: August 08, 2006, 08:24:00 am »

While redefining the keys, I had 2 ">" set by mistake. I pressed escape and it crashed. I'll try to reproduce it later.

An other remark : Some (most) programm detect what kind of keyboard you have. DF does not. That is, on my keyboard the key labeled "?", is recognised as ">" by DF. (that's how I cause the previous bug). That's not such a bit deal, as we can change it. However once it is changed it asks me to to press ">" to reach the help, while in fact I need to press "?"

I don't know if it is possible to correct that at all.

I got a crash from hitting the escape key (old habits die hard) on the key bindings menu, I believe.  I don't remember the exact crash method, besides a windows popup error window.

Same stuff here. Good thing I wasn't running the game at the moment. I'm staying clear from that keybindings menu for now...

Ok, I have done it many times.
It crashes when you press "esc" and have 2 options with the same key. (Well, at least some options are not compatible with the same key)

Do you have an example of specific keys options that do this, or is it more random than that?  I haven't been able to reproduce it yet...

Hmm. I tried again. But It is not what I thought : sometimes crashes. Sometimes not.

I didn't even set any bindings different, I just looked at the key bindings screen, hit esc, and poof.

I also just crashed when hitting escape right after saving a game, to exit the "game saved" screen.

hrm, I'm not getting any of this on mine...  I wonder what sort of issue it is.  Hitting escape doesn't do very much, so it's very strange.  I'll keep looking at it.

Reproduced and fixed ESC crash from keybindings screen, at least this incarnation of it.  I'll try to catch a few more of the worst and put another one up.
