Dwarf Construction Songs

This song is how I imagine my Dwarves handle hazardous construction projects.

I'd imagine it'd go something like this:

"Gold, gold, gold, gold,
gold, gold, gold, gold,
gold, gold, gold, gold,
gold, gold, gold, gold."

That's only the first verse.

Just as long as the last syllable of the last verse is, "Aaaarrrgh!"

i imagine them singing songs from the hobbit.

quote:

The King beneath the mountains,
The king of carven stone,
The lord of silver fountains
Shall come into his own!

His crown shall be upholden,
His harp shall be restrung,
His halls shall echo golden
To songs of yore re-sung.

The woods shall wave on mountains.
And grass beneath the sun;
His wealth shall flow in fountains
And the rivers golden run.

The Streams shall run in gladness.
The lakes shall shine and burn,
And sorrow fail and sadness
At the Mountain-king’s return!

I've been known to exclaim, "Valder-aaaahhh!" when a Dwarf dies and no one is within earshot ...

"I love to hear the floodgates clank, as ere they open wide,
I love to hear the water as it rushes from outside.
Valderee!  Valderahh!
Valdereee-ee, Valderaaaaaahh!"

That seemed, appropriate.

I especially liked how the last muppet sounded like he was going insane from the death of his companions.

Well we all know what they sing after abandonig a fort:

This was a triumph,
Were making a note here HUGE SUCCESS
Its hard to overstate our sastisfaction
Crazy dwarfs
We dig down deep because we can
For the good of all of us
Except the ones who are dead
But theres no sense crying over every mistake
You just keep on trying till you run out of booze
and the digging gets done
and you make some neat crafts
for the dwarves who are still alive

Were really quite angry
Weve seen all our friends die
Some goblins broke their legs and killed them
And tore them to peices
And threw every peice into magma
As they burned we puked because we were in sunlight
Now these refugees make a beautiful line
We're out the fortess some dwarves lived this time
So were glad our mates got burned
Although we never learn
At least some are still alive.

Quickly lets leave here
We should get back inside
Maybe we'll find someone else to help us
Maybe some elves
That was a joke HAHA they're wimps
Anyway this !!cat tallow roast!! is great
Its so delicous and moist
Look at us still talking when theirs digging to do
When we see a cliff it makes us glad were not hugh (man)
There is digging to be done
Kitten killing is quite fun
With the dwarves who are still alive

And beleive us we are still alive

We are digging and were still alive

We feel fantastic and were still alive

And when goblins are dying we'll be still alive

And when they are dead we will be still alive

still alive

STILL ALIVE

I realise some parts dont match the tune perfectly but i honestly dont care. I actually did this from memory since still alive is the only song ive ever known of by heart.

Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do.
I'm half crazy all for the love of you.
It won't be a stylish marriage,
I can't afford a carriage
But you will look sweet upon the seat
of a bicycle built for two.

In an attempt to improve upon ryhming:

This was a triumph.
We're making a note here: huge success.
Its hard to overstate our satisfaction.
Bloodrage of Dying.
We dig what we must, because, we can.
For the good of all of us.
Except the ones who are dead.
But theres no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of sake.
And the digging gets done.
And you lose a single lung.
For the dwarves who are, still alive!

We're not even angry.
We're being so, ecstatic, right now.
Even though, the goblins got in.
And killed us.
And tore us to pieces.
And threw every piece, into, a wood furnace.
As we burned, it hurt because.
We were making charcoal!
Now these pointed arrows make a beautiful line.
And we're out of goboes we're receiving on time.
So we're glad we got burned.
Think of all the ore we've churned.
For the dwarves who are still alive!

Go ahead and leave us.
We think we prefer to stay inside.
Maybe you'll find someone else to help you.
Maybe a few elves...
THAT WAS A JOKE, HAHA, FAT CHANCE!
Anyway this tomb is great.
It's so fantastic and smooth.
Look at us still talking when there's dying to do.
When we look out there it makes us glad we're not you!
We've got ghosties to run.
There is spooking to be done.
On the dwarves who are still alive!

A few points that may or may not be confusing:

Bloodrage of Dying: a dwarven group.
Sake: alcohol that ryhmes with mistake!
Pointed arrows: marksdwarves retaking the fortress.
Goboes: nickname for goblins.
Recieving on time: migrants comming before the fortress ends.
Go ahead and leave us: dead dwarves talking to the migrants.
Look at us still talking when theres dying to do: gasp, talking corpses!
