Im sure hes about to bleed to death in a matter of a seconds after viewing that picture. I've seen dwarves with their throats gone right before they die too. Its sad knowing their fate before it happens. Luckily there are back up folders and ctrl-alt-delete for those certain dwarves who just aren't allowed to die!  :D

I doubt he's getting much bed rest.  More likely, he'll be pressed into service again in a few months, as target practice bolts.  And maybe a nice totem for someone.
