Is it in this instance? i know it was talked about alot last turn, but A) are we actually doing that and B) shouldent we still state that, particularly in cases where the number of batches ordered is variable? I mean, we are charging more for more batches sold in this instance.

Users of the cartridge must pay 1 credit per design using this round submitted to any trial. users of this cartridge must pay 1 credit per batch of item using this cartridge sold, plus 5% of total profits(up to a maximum of 10 credits of profits).

 Well, since we are talking about designing stuff again,

The AG(also known as the Autogun) is designed to dish out our 6x50mm round in job lots. Gas piston-operated and belt-fed from a contained spool(using a metal belt that adds to cost but improves reliability, and drawing rounds back out of the belt and then down to the breach. The spool itself is contained within a box mounted under the gun or on a tripod and holds 50 rounds), the autogun is designed to be truly man-portable while maintaining a traditional rifle-style layout and yet it is also designed to be capable of almost anything a Maxim can by dint of the provisions for tripod mounting, a side rail designed for mounting a volley sight(or nearly anything else, really) and quick-change barrels designed to take no longer to replace than it takes to reload. An integrated bipod capable of being positioned at either the gas block or the trunnion and large diameter folding tower sights graduated out to 800m bring the feature list almost to a close, the final feature is a bit of an oddity: provisions for mounting the same bayonet as the SR-6-10.
 Maximum weight is to be under 10kg and should be more along the lines of 8kg; cost should be less than 45 and more along the lines of 35-ish.

I don't mean to be the fun police here, but... You want to spend 20, to design a gun that costs 45, that might sell for 48 and we'd need to retool for 10?  We also would have to cancel our last rifle batch and lose 19 profit.

We'd actually lose money designing and submitting anything this turn.

Designs:

The Prykanbul LMG-6-12 is an automatic weapon chambered for the 6x50 LR cartridge. the action is operated by a long gas piston and is fed by a detachable 75 round pan mag. the barrel is air cooled using cooling fins and a barrel shroud to draw in cool air. the gun has fold-able tower sights and can be adjusted up 2km. the LMG comes with a folding bipod. to keep cost down only the shoulder stock, pistol grip and forward grip are made of wood with the frame being made out of stamped metal where possible. the gun should weigh no more than 10 kgs and cost around 30~35 credit though cheaper would be better.

the Prykanbul autorifle-6-12  or PAR for short is an automatic rifle chambered for the 6x50 LR cartridge. It uses an short stroke piston to operate the receiver and is fed by a detachable 30 round box magazine from the bottom. The PAR uses similar sights to that of the SR-6-11 and has an integrated bipod. To ensure that the gun does not over heat the PAR is air cool with cooling fins around the barrel. The gun has a wooden shoulder stock, pistol grip and forward grip but other wise the rest of the frame is made out of stamped metal to keep cost down. The PAR should weigh around 6 kgs and cost around 30 credit though cheaper would be better.

revision:

the MR-6-12 is revision to the SR-6-11. Ramp sights are replaced with a fixed iron sight zeroed to 100m. the magazine capacity is reduced to a smaller 5 round mag to avoid having the magazine sticking out of the frame removing the risk of the magazine getting damaged. the MR-6-12 has a mount that allows for a 4x telescopic sight to be attached to the top of the rifle which can be adjusted 100m to 1km as well as dial for windage, the scope can be detached from the mount for storage. additionally a Bipod and cheek rest has been added to make it easier to aim the rifle while prone.

The marksman's variant of the Prykanbul Short Rifle line has a number of changes, as follows:
>Detachable 5-round magazines that fit flush with the bottom of the stock's forearm, to reduce chance of snagging and retain the ability to quickly reload with an optical sight mounted.
>Adjustment points for length of pull and height of comb(forming a cheek rest), for having the rifle "just so" for the shooter.
>Factory assistance in providing mountings for purchaser's choice of optics over the centerline of the rifle.
>Adjustable monopod mounted in the stock and folding, adjustable height bipod legs(mounted to the trunnion)
>Actions and barrels chosen specially for peek preeminence with the greatest precision possible.
Clearly these comprehensive improvements for the serious marksman(or dare we say, sniper) come at a cost. It is expected that the thus improved rifle should cost about 25 per batch.

Have I mentioned here yet how I hate that we are changing model numbers for revision years? It makes it a real pain to go "right, this is based off of that, but doesent replace it" easily. You cant just glance at it, you have to think about it.

Not sure we have the right cartridge for the DMR, but even if they hate the rifle, I'd pay 10 just to get into optics.

By the far the most technical change is the magazine. Going from an internal to external mag is significant. That would be a normal revision, or so would the other furniture features all together. Your company's history of metallurgy eases the task of producing (or singling out) superior actions and barrels. Besides the barrel, testing shows that good-quality stocks are a major factor in making these rifles particularly accurate, so greater precision is focused in this area as well. In all, it's a lot of changes, so you're a bit overworked.

Prykanbul SR/M-6-12: This is a modified version of the Prykanbul Short Rifle. The biggest mechanical change is that it uses 5-round detachable box magazines, which come about flush with the wooden furniture and have a heel release (and a related furniture indent). This is intended to be a marksman rifle, so the benefit of this is that an optic can sit above the receiver. The gun does not ship with an optic, but it has a smooth flat plane for mounting one (it also includes SR-6-11 style iron sights). The other visible changes are mostly to the furniture: part of the shoulder stock folds down to form a monopod, and a bipod mounted on the furniture under the barrel. The bipod is made of steel tubing and has an adjustable height, tightening in place with wingnuts on each leg. The butt plate is also mounted on screws so that its length can be adjusted, and there is a similarly adjustable cheek piece on the stock. The complex stock features are largely finished by hand because there wasn't a lot of time to design tooling, driving up the cost. 30 credits.

 Ya mean fixed to detachable? We haven't had anything other than external magazines. Atleast, I dont think that the 7-round was short enough to be all within the forearm... It amuses me that "factory mounts whatever scope the purchaser wants" has morphed into "no scope for you", unless we are intended to make our own scopes? If so, why?

 Anyways, offering doesent cost us anything, and we can always decline to take contracts, right? In that case...

You should consider if you're interested in stopping your current contract if you win those. Otherwise, you might consider waiting until next turn, since you'll just be showing the other companies the results of your trials. We can even keep the SR/M-6-12 under wraps until it's submitted to trials if you want, so the other companies won't know that's the contract you are gunning for.

Wait, we're still running the IRA contract for this month.  We also know both our competitors can't afford to change production this month.  The profit margin for the DMR rifle will get us a second line if we keep the IRA contract.  If we cancel it, the math doesn't work anymore.  The Forenians will be around next turn anyways.

So yeah, let the Forenians wait.
