Quote from: Prykanbul Manufacturing SR-6-10* revision project
To sum it up as quick as possible, this revision project has two components; One: that the tower sight be exchanged for something much closer to the bore axis or be made folding and Two: manufacturing processes be examined to reduce cost without harming quality, if possible.

Hey Sensei, did we just spend 30 or 40, and thus do we even have the funds for a revision?

Good enough for now and not worth the a ballooning double revision cost.

We dont have the funds anyways. We have 25 remaining and thus it would cost us 30 to do a revision.

But hey, now we have the costs worked out. Time to get this puppy building and offer it to the Dragoons and the Revolutionaries, probably at 23 each, making 2 credits?

We cannot, in fact, afford that revision, regardless.

The tall sights are going to be a pain for cavalry use, the magazine capacity is smaller than I expected in even my worst nightmare (the cartridge is less efficient, spacewise, than .303 British is...or maybe we just got a really small magazine for some reason), and also it would have been 22 cost if we didn't have a -1 to cost from the steel-cased ammo.

So, yeah, definitely could use continued improvements.

It might be that we have a flush fitting box magazine as opposed to the SMLE's protruding one. Infact, I think that to be likely.

Anyways, my guess is that we are going to be doing a revision next turn while selling it everywhere we can, then think about something else...

As said before, you now have 25 credits. Since you cannot make another revision, this means it is now the bidding phase! There is technically no downside to offering the rifle for both contracts which are seeking rifles. The main thing you need to decide now is the price.

so here is my pitch proposal

Quote from:  need to earn somthing
Rutz Cavalry Legionnaires: 2 batches for 25 each (8 profit total)
Vostoy Revolutionary Army:4 batches at 23 each (8 profit total)

Why not go the full 24 for the Vostoy?  Our full featured rifle has no obvious flaws for infantry use and should win unless FR made something amazing.  It also makes the discount less egregious.  And our profit margins are already razor thin...

Quote from: need to earn alittle more
Rutz Cavalry Legionnaires: 2 batches at 25 each
Vostoy Revolutionary Army: 4 batches at 24 each

Quote from: in for a penny in for a pound
Rutz Cavalry Legionnaires: 2 batches for 26 each (10 profit total)
Vostoy Revolutionary Army:4 batches at 24 each (12 profit total)

well if we are going to try to get some profit from the revolutionaries may as well get some more out of cav as well

Edit:

Quote from: more money
Rutz Cavalry Legionnaires: 2 batches for 28 each (14 profit total)
Vostoy Revolutionary Army:4 batches at 24 each (12 profit total)

As much as I like Asea's equation, if the Vostoy split their order, we lose.

So, the bad news is that we're saddled with a 6m cartridge that nobody will appreciate for a decade or so.

The good news is that we can revise our current rifle for 10 to secure the Ira contract.  Because it's a revision, we won't have to pay to retool our assembly line.

Revision: Prykanbul Manufacturing SR-6-11 6mm Rifle Model 1911
Quote
Short, petite, dainty... these are all adjectives no man would like to hear applied to them.  The 1911 Model is a more manly version of the waifish 1910.

First off, the under-length barrel has been extended to a magnificent 76 cm (30 in).  Not only should this improve the velocity and range of the projectile, our pencil-necks insist it'll improve the 'sight radius' by over a third.  This improvement alone makes the 1911 longer range and more accurate than its 1910 predecessor.

Second, the internal magazine now protrudes slightly out the bottom of the breach, allowing the rifle to carry 10 rounds fully loaded.  (This count does not include in the chamber itself.  As the 1911 does not feature a safety, it is recommended a round not be chambered for every-day carry.  If the end user insists on going 10+1, Prykanbul Manufacting is not liable for misadventure.)  This even number changes the stripper clip to a more manageable 5 rounds that fits better in a bandolier.  It's also easier to top-off a half fired magazine.

Thirdly, the sight has been reworked.  The awkward ladder sight has been replaced with a circular aperture atop a ramp sight.  Per current vogue, mechanically zero'd for 200 meters, the ramp extends to volley ranges of 2km.  A windage knob allows for lateral adjustments.

(Depiction shows a notch, and not an aperture.)
