[IC] TotM:RNE - Sky Meadow: Shattered Remnants

Diving through the Giga-Wormhole opened curtesy of Zelda.  Griffon, Henry, and Alaska find themselves atop a rocky pillar with ankle high coarse purple grass.  Glancing around you see an ocean of pinkish clouds, reddish streaks from a setting sun, the deep blue backdrop of a night's sky, and the shining glint off of this planet's massive moon.
There are other pillars in the distance sticking above the clouds with ledges and tenuous floating rocky bridges connecting between them in a large rough "U" shape with the party standing atop the pillar in the top left of the "U".
In the middle of the top of the pillar the party finds themselves on they can see a huge stone ring embedded in the ground with an opening leading down to a hollow area, a second level to which a rocky bridge connects.

Aside from the howling of the wind and the occasional shifting of the floating rock there don't seem to be many signs of life here.  Though someone was here once, judging by the occasional bit of scrap metal sticking out of the ground or the rusted boxes knocked to the side and half buried.

Griffon draws several cards contemplatively as he activates his Duel Disk.

"I play Chorus of Sanctuary!  While this spell is on the field, all defending monsters gain 400 Defence Points!

A chorus of angels float into the air, singing soft songs of safety and security, granting everyone who defends +2 Damage Resistance.

Looking around, Henry is struck by the view. It's... actually rather nice. He quickly sticks his hand in his pocket, pulling out his phone, a small rectangular device in a clearly pirate themed case, with what appears to a chibi depiction of a woman wearing a pirate's hat and an eyepatch. He takes a picture of each the cardinal directions from where they arrived, before putting away his phone and going to inspect some of the boxes with the help of Captain Morgan's Revenge.

Griffon's angelic accord resonates across the small plateau they're standing on and out about halfway across the narrow rocky bridge to the next pillar.  He watches as out of nowhere a small stone mask appears over the bridge and bursts alight with yellow flames.  A second later as the new creature slowly floats to survey the bridge, a large boulder as tall as Griffon and twice as big around comes flying across as if blown by the wind and slams directly into the small mask.  Extinguishing the flames and shattering it as quickly as it was created.
Something glints on the ground just below the point of impact.

Henry's exploits with CMR restore a few labels on the sides of the old rusty and broken open crates, shipping labels of all things.

Griffon draws another card.  His trusty Pixel Knight.

"I summon Pixel Knight in Attack Mode!  Go scout the area!" he orders, sending his Pixel Knight out to run off and fight anything hostile it encounters.

He hangs near Henry for his own safety, the psychic fighter more than a match for whatever might be out there, Griffon feels.

Henry hums, eyebrows raising at this new information as he rises. "Hey, stay on the look out for any boxes like these! I don't know where they came from or what was in them, but I think this "Contact Light" is important since they all were shipped from it... But what's with the arrival dates...?"

Griffon frowns. 

"I don't know.  But it reeks of suspicion.  I've encountered time manipulation once or twice. Perhaps what we're looking at is a third."

"What makes me more suspicious is why they're scattered all over like this.  Do you see any wreckage that these might have come from?" he asks, looking around himself.

Griffon's knight drops down the hole in the middle of the pillar to the lower area.  Griffon can hear a sort of surprised chirble, a sound of intrigue, followed by a dull thud and pop of something else attacking the Knight.  Obviously the attack fails as the Knight announces its battle cry with a loud beep and Griffon hears another whoosh not unlike that of the wisp on the bridge dying.
[Pixel Knight defeats a Lesser Wisp.  Threat reduced to Tiny.  $5 collected.]

Henry rubs his chin. "I wouldn't jump straight to that. I mean, manipulating the flow of time while not impossible, would require immense power if you wanted to accomplish it to any useful degree. Perhaps the world of origin developed galactic travel and sufficient cryosleep to maintain it, but not FTL? Anyway, I don't think I can reconstruct anything of worth to find out more regarding the Contact Light... Hm, though, I'm gonna grab one of those boxes in case we find a locked one. Who knows, it could have something nice in it."
With that, Henry hefts one of the broken open boxes over his shoulder. He looks towards the bridge, before turning towards the hole the knight dropped into, before finally looking to Griffon to make a decision.

Griffon decides to go down the hole that his own knight fell down, assuming it to be clearer than the path beyond the bridge.

Dropping down the group finds themselves in a small alcove of sorts, flat dirty ground and four large arches, one in each direction.  A bit of ledge surrounds this level of the pillar on each side, with a wider outcrop on two adjacent sides.
One of the wider outcrops happens to connect to the previously seen rock bridge.  While the other has an odd statue on it depicting a splash of some kind of liquid.  There is text at the base of it, and the rock it's cut from resembles a muddy brown.

Griffon snaps a picture of the statue with his phone before approaching it and reading the text.

"Curious.  It's clearly unusual.  Either it survived falling into this wilderness, and is not normal stone... Or it was built here, and this is not a normal place."

Henry shrugs as he approaches with his box over his shoulder.
"Hm... could be both.... Heh, maybe this entire area was affected by a stand, and we're witnessing the aftermath."

As Griffon approaches the read the text he watches as it shifts before his eyes, moving between hundreds of foreign lexicons before settling to one more familiar and eventually shifting through languages he recognizes before finally he can clearly read what it says.
Sacrifice to the Shrine and be rewarded.
After reading it Griffon feels a force drawing him towards the shrine.  Not in a way that feels inherently malicious, but more like a question than an order.  Will he give?

Danger increased from Easy to Medium
