Suggestion for the steam release, it would be nice to have the ability to give certain entities custom icons, so your favorite dwarf could look different and have their own sprite, maybe just by uploading a png. so you could customize your world one creature at a time.

Also, maybe harder to make, but the ability to change the icon of whole groups, so the necromancers doesn't look the same as the damned ones and whatnot

Dwarf Fortress graphics are currently and will always continue to be moddable. Expect a lot of new sets from all the usual tileset makers.

Although replacing one single dwarf isn't likely to be possible.
