The loremaster has entered a fey mood!
He has crafted two strange buttons on opposing walls of his library, replacing his stored knowledge. Both are large and [PRESTIGIOUS]. He is currently crazy and hugging trees.
The first has a pair of battlemechs in a desert. It's not very dorfy. [Current prestige reward: 2 scout class battlemechs]
The second one doesn't feel like a button at all. It feels like it's inspired by this, which is a difficult feeling to describe. It doesn't feel like it has buttons to click, which is really quite sad. [Current prestige reward: More say in how it works as I quickly create rules that can be run in my head.]

"It seems to me, that the more milestones we reach, the better of a position we'll be in from clicking the first button. The second button hurts my head to look at, so I can't say for that one. It might even turn into something entirely different if we wait too long.
With our loremaster gone crazy, our potential for advancement will be limited."

You craft some tools, which will increase productivity by 25%, and spend time clicking plants to make them grow faster. The other farmers politely pretend not to notice.

You build a farm.
You build a stockpile.
You even have enough room left to build another home.
A new farmer arrives!

Thanks to your dwarven ingenuity, despite the winter cold, your farmers can farm a surplus even without you.

It is now mid winter.
