Turn off all lasers. Turn on jump drive. Jump to T-Lock.
DC crews to reactor on deck #2, and point defense on deck #5

Successful hits should probably be forced to strike compartments that still have functional modules, i.e. instead of scattering hits across 10 compartments on the Kogan, I'd be scattering them across 5 meaningful compartments. It does mean that damaged ships lose combat capability exponentially instead of the present more linear decrease (except for when shield generators are hit), but that's actually very realistic to real-life naval warfare (or most forms of warfare) anyway, so I'd consider that to be just fine. It would also increase the speed with which the winning side, y'know, wins.

Murder the Koganusan. Keep up the stern chase. Think murderous thoughts towards the T-Lock.

Eventually there would just be holes where you've hit multiple times.  Maybe an additional hit beyond "destroyed" removes that component from the list of available damage recipients? In essence, each component can get hit three times before becoming damage saturated and exposing the neighboring components?  It would be a slightly less severe exponential loss in combat capability.

I would mostly like to shorten the game immensely, so I'm not a fan of extending damage past the point of a compartment being nonfunctional.

Could see something where a section has a few 'reserve hit points' that get hit after all it's components are destroyed, and when those run out does damage start targeting other sections (until DC gets one of those components to Jury Rigged anyway, but that shouldn't reset the 'reserve')

Also Madman, last I checked you've had very few hits to already destroyed components (you damn luck vampire), so even if that rule was already in place the match likely would've gone exactly the same. Still, something for Kashyyk to think about.

Think you got a good chance of ending me this round, given how you only need to knock out 2 more of my internals, only 1 of my 5 active internals has a functional external (and even that is Jury Rigged... Look, the color is wrong, ok?), and you have a very good track record for scoring triple hits on a section.

Fire off spite shot from sorta intact mass-driver, continue buying time

Both capital ships jump, it being all the Koganasun can do to avoid melee range with the unharmed warship. Damage reports trickle in from the barrage of lasers and missiles before, reporting that the last Mass Driver has once again been destroyed as lasers splash across the hull.

Meanwhile, the T-Lock escapes out to Extreme range as the Ayes carefully powers on the hastily rebuilt Jump Drive and moves to follow.
