Insulted by the hits the Koganasun landed, the Mandator turns weapons back on the wounded Battleship. At such short range it was all but impossible to miss, and as the Point Defence burned through the Koganasun's retaliatory shots, a full fourteen lasers struck the armoured hull, causing damage across the ship.
The Mandator's smaller escort did not fair so well. With no point defence or shields, the attacks from the two RED frigates finally paid dividends, as shots hammered into the unarmoured (yet miraculously unharmed) reactor amidships. With more holes than supporting structure the Snail finally begins to break apart, and the damaged reactor detonates in a burst of uncontrolled plasma that splits the ship clean in two.
