Turn 4
The Snail's concern at the arrival of the Koganasun was eclipsed only by its immediate firing of all eight Mass Drivers at the Frigate. Desperate evasive maneuvers were ordered as weapons were bared to return fire. The Snail's smaller broadside of three mass drivers, along with the Missile Launcher respond as at Short Range the Mandator joined in with its laser batteries and missiles.
The Snail's Point Defences cannons open fire on the ferrous slugs, ablating and tumbling them in the void, yet there were far too many. The basic PD struggled to hit the small, hardend targets, whilst the Advanced defence cannon destroyed one, two and landed a hit on a third just as the barrage arrived, pounding the front half of the vessel. The armour plating served the ship well, but the unarmoured Jump Drive suffered repeated hits, venting xenoric plasma and unlucky engineers into space, as well as preventing the ship's escape.
In total, 13 hits (of which 7 were damaging), were registered across various systems, whilst the shields were repeatedly bled by shots from the Ayes.
The Koganasun's point defence, whilst less advanced, was far more numerous and had fewer targets. However, it did not have shields, so the barrage from the Mandator immediately hit the hull, leaving deep burns and repeatedly destroying the weapon mounts.
Finally, the T-Lock jumps into the fray, arriving at Long Range.
