Festival isn't quite the right word.  Apparently there's a league system and those were some kind of playoffs.  Or major tournament?  Whatever.  The variations on robot sports is too much to grasp in a moment.

Church.  Okay, there is a church to Fricassa.  It's buried underground, and seemingly an exact duplicate of a large church in Coppertop.  Well, a nearly exact duplicate.  The benches and doorways and ceilings are all dwarf-sized, but in the main room, in place of a dwarven metalsmithing workshop, there's a steam hammer in the corner.  Not dwarf-tech.  The rest looks all dwarven, all the time, and the room is completely plated in copper, with all the main furniture being solid lead.  The altar is different, being made of a single shaped limestone boulder, quite obviously not from here.  The holy books are also different, printed and identical, but covered in dust.  There are a few locked internal chambers, but this place looks like nobody has came in here for months.

Outside the building you figure out why.  Apparently the services are held through the bizarre robot communication method, with the church there simply because you need a church and an altar to do it properly, although Fricassa seems perfectly content to handle things through the strange remote ritual setup the robot has.

That said, it doesn't really indicate how you are to engage in such a thing, given that your brains don't work that way.  You could always just use the altar like it's supposed to be used, completely ignoring the whole 'local priest' thing..

You guys think we should mess with the alter or should we move on to something else in town?

Trence or someone else should pray to Fricassa, begging for an explanation of the cave system we just explored, specifically the void related bits.

A mining and long voyages deity ought to have some sympathy for us, given the party has probably circumnavigated the world by now.

I guess we could dedicate Alice here if we want to stop putting that off. Bit of a random choice though, and dwarven gods may work differently.

Ask someone knowledgeable what kind of power a paladin of Fricassa might receive.

Sessha actually vetoes this.  Klamati of Secrets can literally get that information, and at a much better rate.

One ritual..

"They're not exactly simply caves, there's a demon infestation below them.  But they're mostly just shattered rock from the impact who knows how long ago.  The demons are relatively recent, but that's how demons work.

They're also not ready to pour out.  Klamati indicated that they aren't ready to do an attack, and there's still a good amount of room under there.  Apparently the robots did some investigating themselves, and that's the conclusion they've drawn.

As for what an Oozer is, it isn't a void creature.  Klamati is curious as to the slime and ooze, but not that curious.  There probably are others somewhere else."

"Depends on what one does for a living.  Probably some earth-related magic, and maybe a minor buff or two.  Likely defensive, Fricassa didn't seem too offensive to me, just boring stuff, no sacrificial blood or other entertaining things, like in that weird wand cult."

Sounds like we've seen all there is to see at the temple, maybe we should ask around and see if anyone knows about any ruins nearby.

I mean, you can totally dedicate Alice.  It's just that you'll have to wing the ceremony a little.

I don't think this god is a good fit.

Yeah, earth magic and defence sounds ok, and the pilgrimage or similar required would probably be fine, but we can do something more interesting.

Is there much else for humans to see in Aethrem - ruins, special robot smiths/shops, or interesting archives?

If not, buy some trade goods that can be sold at a profit elsewhere, and prepare to set sail!

Ruins, this is not the right place in the world for that.  The entire island is robot-controlled, and although there are unused buildings and such, there aren't any real proper as-such ruins.  They tend to knock them down after some time.  Certainly before they turn into actual monster-spawning ruins.

..curiously, the only other place in the world like this is probably the Isle Perilous, for similar reasons.  Entire island is well under control, and they tend to repair or replace ruins.

The main exports of Aethrem are.. more robots.  There also do some tools and equipment pieces, but you're not going to find better normal equipment here than way up in Valterre.  And food, although Aethrem isn't a major crop-growing location, they do some farming for visitors and export.

..with a couple exceptions, of course.  If you had a robot party member, this would be the place to get upgrades or all manner of interesting equipment.  And there is some stuff.

Most of the best gear is set up for you to get at Valterre.  But..

Name an item type and/or character.  You can see what's available.

As for archives, you went and saw them previously.  They're very touristy.  And the interesting stuff is set up for robots, with plug-ins and odd devices for other robots.  To get to the cool stuff, you'll probably need to do two things:

Get a robot accomplice, to help with the robot stuff.

Break in to somewhere interesting and less touristy.

I'm guessing the robots specialise in technology, so look for:

Special bows/crossbows for Willis... would even be happy with a crossbow that took extra turns to reload, given Willis doesn't use the bow much.

Anything special robots can do with bane metal.

Surely we can just try applying some robot-upgrades to Trence, right? He's a dragon, it'll probably work.
