"Ah, I see. Again, I don't consider them being attracted to be wholly the correct answer, only that it's a possibility. Seeing as how I'm not a member of the Union, I don't know the two well enough to make an informed decision."

"But I do believe that the possibility Sloane brings up is a bit more hopeful, because it's far easier to handle them bickering like lovers, rather than bickering because they simply hate each other."

: "Ah, I wonder what else should be served. We could use an extra set of hands."

Soon after those words left Mordecai's mouth, the doors to the kitchen swung open, revealing the somewhat diminutive form of Reeve, taking a big breath of the food, spices, and other assortment of smells before strolling into the room proper. At least before she noticed the familiar Belgor and Bovis currently working on their dishes, causing the Polyion to freeze in place for a moment before moving towards the two,

"Oh, Riesenberg, Hoth, seems you both are already handling the preparations. Do you need some help with food."

"I wouldn't mind an extra set of hands, sugar. Mordecai is fixing vegetable stew and I'm fixing Serapha pudding for desert, then I'm gonna teach him how to fix cornbread to go with the stew. I can teach you too, if you want. And we're supposed to be celebrating how well that exam went, so if you want to fix a dish too I'd be excited to see what you come up with."

Rika smiled over at Reeve.

"And good job taking down that big old Fiend. I reckon professor Ramsay was right impressed with that, more than he might've let on; professor Ververs said he and professor Estelle spent a coon's age making that thing, and you and Lin kicked its butt as soon as you saw it."

Market Plaza
As Orrel arrives at the market plaza, walking down the stairs from the Central Hall, it's exactly as bustling as it always is around this time of day. The high walls overlooking the plaza from the elevated ground the rest of the Academy are plastered with banners advertising services from various farmers and butchers. Cowan and Cowan, the Academy's favoured blacksmiths, have occupied their usual corner of the plaza closer to the gate leading out of the campus and onto Miller Road, the road leading back to the main avenue into Barminster, their weapons set out on racks on display. Closer to the hall, a small stone building stands next to the stairs leading up to the rest of the campus, the writing on the glass window marking it as the Academy's tuck shop, home to local Yorkian delicacies and the odd enchanted items.

Orrel's search is not long. Nearby, a gramophone hooked up to some sets of speakers plays a familiar tune.
"Are you going to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary- rosemary- rosemary-"
The record, having skipped, suddenly cuts out following a loud crash, followed by some angry yelling in Frankish, the language spoken on the continental portion of York. Probably not the transfer students, then, and probably some unfortunate shopkeeper who was sold a gramophone made by some subpar fool. However, it doesn't take him much longer to find the students, as he walks into two people, about his brothers' age; a short-looking Salis with blue hair and carrying what looks to be a massive sword covered in packaging paper and string, and a boy(probably a Homid), putting a large hat, the same style as Professor Estelle's, on the Salis girl's head.
"How does it look?"
"It looks...like you have a great taste in hats."

"Alright, Polyion. You should go talk to them about that then. Let's put that to the test."
"And if not, we try MY approach."
"No."
"Yes."

"No offense, but those people would seem kinda boring to me if they ACTUALLY wanted to know the future."

At the Forge, Professor Ramsay oversees Lin's work. Given the many training weapons used by students, this is one of the largest jobs of the Academy's forge.

After finishing a meal and an unfortunately scrapped attempt at a still life, Arnett tried to scurry out of the dining hall as quickly as he could. Yet at the same time, he didn't really feel like diving back into his room just yet.

Maybe I can get something done today...

Arnett spends 1 AP at the Alchemic Laboratory for +15 Evasion, 2 AP at the Stables, and 2 AP at the Forge.
He will also use some allowance, praying under his breath that it is okay, to purchase a Rescue staff (600 Thalers).

"Well, considering delicacy might be required for this type of situation, I'll gladly talk to them myself. Do you happen to know where one of them is?"

As Rika spoke, Reeve strolled around the kitchen, taking into account the various ingredients she could use for a meal. Once the Great Fiend was brought up though, she practically beamed with pride,

"Thank you Riesenberg. I wasn't planning to so thoroughly annihilate it, but after Weylan was defeated, I decided to give it a taste of what it was really messing with."

"Hm, perhaps a few pies might be good for the celebrations. What do you two think?"

Mus'ad shrugs.
"And maybe they are boring people. But, it's hardly my place to judge someone for wanting a peek into their future.... So I take it you'd rather I do the cards even if it's just smoke and mirrors?"

"I reckon a pie or two would be mighty good."

It was going to be a bread-based meal, it seemed like, which meant it was going to be pretty filling. She was looking forward to a good heavy supper before lazing around in the library and reading - maybe a quick doze in there too. The library was the best place to catch a quick nap as long as you didn't get caught; it was quiet and had that musty but good smell of old books, and some very comfortable chairs.

"I have a few of these plums that didn't fit into the pudding if you want to fix a pie with them."

"Well, they should be doing some Union paperwork in the Union room. The new one, on the east wing second floor; the old one's Professor Lucerne's office now."
Reeve has accepted the sidequest "Love Is War".

"Sure. It's a bit of fun, right?"

Kaya, meanwhile, has chosen to sit two seats away from Steven, leaving a seat open for Mus'ad.

Steven, for his part, acknowledges Kruger, who seems to have taken the seat between him and Kaya.
"Greetings, Wallhaim."

"Ah, hello, would you be Felix and Christine from Starfall? My name is Orrel Sokolov and it is a pleasure to meet you both. I've been asked by Professor Estelle to introduce you to your new classmates and then escort you to her for your tour. She would have done so herself, however there is an important meeting she has to attend to first."

He paused, giving the two a quick look over and then grinned at Christine.

"Nice hat. You and the professor will have plenty to talk about, I'm sure."

"There's going to be more posturing afterwards, huh?"

Delwyn appeared behind Kruger, Kaya, and Steven, balancing a burger in each hand.

"Hey, Kaya, we made it."

At some later time, Delwyn spends 1 AP at the Gymnasium (+15 Hit), 2 AP at the Training Rooms (1 SPD, 1 DEF), 1 AP at the Forge.

-Snip-
Mus'ad nods at the professor.
"Indeed it is. But I was serious about doing it after I was done. Dad always said to keep fun for after work... Though apparently he had some trouble with that."

Mus'ad takes a seat next to Kaya, giving her a smile before he takes a bite of his Heat Burger. He looks thoughtful as he chews, before frowning as he swallows.

"Wait, plums? Serepha Plums?" Reeve asked, peering around Rika to see her leftover ingredients. Though she was naturally bright and energetic at that moment, the sight of the angelic fruits caused her to brighten up even further as she quickly snatched some of them up, beginning to dash across the kitchen in order to collect the other components she required, eventually setting them all down at a counter near the two and getting to work,

"That's perfect! It's been ages since I got to use some for a recipe! I take it you managed to grow these yourself Riesenberg? Or was it Hoth showcasing a special talent in gardening?"

"Sorta! I've been helping in the greenhouse a lot, so professor Ververs let me grab some to fix up a dish for everyone. Help yourself!"

And help herself Reeve did, collecting all the ones Rika hadn't used for her own culinary purposes. The cowgirl was a little amused and interested to see this side of the albino; she hadn't taken her for a fellow cook.

"Looks to me like you're an old hand with those utensils. Do you like cooking?"
