Kruger audibly clears his throat when Ricardo answered so casually.

"Of course, professor. How may we be of assistance?"

"We're not in trouble, are we?"

Professor Greyhame shakes his head.

"No. It's about.....the events at Blackby, a few weeks ago. Our investigation has turned a few things up."

Lin doesn't have long to wait, because Theodora makes good on her promise.
"Uh...are you quite sure you want to have a look?"

[Sirus]

: "That was the village where we battled the Fiends, if I remember correctly. What have you found, Professor?"

Lin's expression soured at the mention. That was an unhappy place for her, despite her contributions.

". . . what do you need?"

"Y-yeah. I like taking care of gear and stuff. It's kind of, my thing, you know?" She patted her artificial leg. "I bet I can make some improvements to the fit if I-" Realizing a bit sooner what she was saying, Lin cut herself off.

Professor Greyhame gestures towards a more secluded area of the campus, looking around.
"I think it best if we discuss somewhere more secluded. I have been looking into this group for months, but this is the first time they've been so brazen as to assault a village in force like that."
"If you...?"

Lin wordlessly moved in the direction indicated, her current state mostly indicated by the faint increase in temperature around her and the slightly sharper than usual thunking of her latest prosthetic limb on the ground.

"Wasn't around this for this stuff. What sort of group you lads dealt with?"

: "Well, originally it was just supposed to be Fiends. When we arrived however we found a group of people that were apparently directing the Fiends to attack. If I remember correctly they had something of an agenda against the Academies."

Orrel frowned, crossing his arms and muttering under his breath before speaking up.

 "Yes. There's a group going around calling themselves the 'Seekers of Calamity', trying to control Fiends and using code names like Justice and Obedience. As if they are the moral ones here. They... Know a lot about the Order. And claim it is corrupt and that people deserve to be freed from it. They know of Calamities, of those who have died fighting against the Fiends... But were all too willing to put innocents in danger to get their fight against the Order. I owe several them a good beating, if I'm being frank."

"Indeed. Whatever noble goal these Seekers are trying to work towards, if it truly is noble, is inherently tainted by their willingness to leave the common people in the crossfire. Thankfully we were able to beat them back before too many people got hurt, both with our combined expertise and with the help of an archer who-" Reeve began, finally filling the silence that she had left behind with the preparation for a long rant on the battle of Blackby before she paused, remembering an important detail that she... Admittedly forgot to share with her classmates,


"... Huh. I forgot to mention that the archer that helped us was actually passing through the city. We talked together earlier since she had watched our spar with Class 3-C."

Professor Greyhame nods as he takes the group over somewhere quiet before continuing.
"I have been running my own investigation into the Seekers of Calamity, with assistance from the Order. Before I continue explaining, I have to have your guarantee that you will not tell anyone else, even the teachers about this. So far, only Professor Estelle knows. You and the other classes are to be informed, because we need to know what you know. Am I clear?"
Theodora thinks carefully.
"...you're not just saying that to get me alone, are you?"

"Clear."

"Yes. No!" Lin waved her hands frantically in front of herself. "I mean, y-yes, but not like that. I just wanted t-to talk to you. Orrel suggested it and I like weapons and armor so I thought it was a good idea."
