Reeve

"Ah, Alya. A wonderful name, and as you've likely heard by now, I am Reeve Von Anextra Polyion the Third. A pleasure" Reeve replied, giving the pink-haired archer a small curtsy, "You clearly came to the city at the right time. In fact, my class and I will be partaking in the closing match against class 3-A in only four days time. Which is bound to be just as spectacular as the fight you just witnessed today.

Lin
Katarina thinks carefully.
"Your uncle....isn't he the manager of your band?"

Ricardo
Maximus nods slowly, rubbing the back of his head and trying not to stare.
"I've bought all your albums. And been to all your concerts. Sir."

Delwyn
"Well, getting knocked over a bunch of times wasn't fun either. "
Kaede surveys the stalls.
"I was kinda thinking checking out the new ones that only open up during stuff like the tournament, you know? They sell stuff from all over the world. Been feeling kinda nostalgic, since I haven't been back home in a while."

Kruger
"Mhm. They regretted letting you go."

Reeve
Alya nods.
"I know. Your fight just now....I was just passing through and decided to watch. You were incredible."

Lin bobbed her head.
"Yeah. Me and Vicky get on really well and I turned out to actually be able to get sound out of an instrument without making someone's ears bleed, so it sorta just happened."

Mordecai's Activities:

Begin/Continue Personal Study.
Do the normal alchemy work (+3 DR).
Contribute Tianxian Mudfish to cooking.
Spend time at the Shrine of the Sculptor (2 points).

He also checks out the Market, hoping to find some rare surprises from other realms, and hits up the sauna to unwind.

Mordecai decided to forgo his typical isolation routine and embrace the carnival atmosphere at the school for once. The vampire wandered the grounds eager to learn what he could, not bothering to hide his heritage any more than his normal hood would.

"Mhm. They regretted letting you go."

"Either it will inspire Starfall to improve, or more students will study abroad here in the future. Both are acceptable results, for Rheinberg deserves the best and brightest students for a golden future."
"... That probably sounded more pretentious than intended. I simply care for my nation and fellow citizen, nothing more."

Lin

"Mmm, if you are worried about that, perhaps you could just ask her if she wanted to repair weapons together. You work on yours, she works on hers. That way it would be spending time together, but you wouldn't risk insulting her."

Steven

"I would be hard pressed to attribute the victory to myself when I spent as much time picking myself up off the ground as I did fighting. It would be foolish to pretend otherwise and a disservice to how well my teammates fought."

He gave a small shrug, clearly somewhat uncomfortable with the praise. He wasn't the class leader, that was Kaya after all. He was just a tactician who had some small understanding of battle, nothing compared to what his father once had.

"Ha, anyone that sees you fight must know that you're no spoiled prince. Don't think the eyes of Solrise are not also on you. Our classes fought together in that tragic village. I've seen you fight. And in the coming days... I suspect there will be more threats to the peace of our lands. The enemies we fought then are not going away. Knowing that you'll be there, fighting against them too, well, it gives me some relief. Because I know I can depend on you to win when it's needed."

"The new stuff's the big attraction after all. Like, I was going to take a look myself and take some pictures of everything going on."

Delwyn lowered her camera, shifted the weight of it in her hands, thinking.

"You're from Yamajima, right?" She thought she was sure she'd heard it somewhere, or inferred it from Kaede's name or where Kamuy were more common. But probably the former - she had never really hesitated when it came to nosing around. "What do you miss about home?"

Lin
Katarina nods slowly.
"I see. Have you....um....considered....playing at Solrise? Sorry if I'm prying."

Ricardo
"Yes, uh...sir. Sorry for calling you sir. It's just a honor to meet you in person. I never thought I'd end up attending school with you s-Ricardo."

Delwyn
Kaede nods.
"Born and bred. Well, if I really had to say...."
"I kinda miss the feeling of having a nice big bowl of ramen and chilling out with a cup of sake. Sake's pretty easy to find but a good ramen joint hasn't hit Barminster yet. I heard a ramen master is setting up stall, so I was wondering if I could grab a few people to try some."

Kruger
Ilse adjusts her glasses.
"My, you're convinced of your skill. How confident. Good. It wouldn't do for your next opponents to not believe in themselves."

Orrel
Steven almost smiles back in response.
"The same to you, Orrel. That being said, I look forward to matching wits against you."

Mordecai
As Mordecai exits the staff room, having handed in his work to Professor Estelle, he sees Professor Ververs.
"Hey there, Mordecai. Good showing there. Cost me a pretty penny with Sheila, but....well, I can't be disappointed. She raves about your magical theory papers. Of course your practical skills....well....after that, I don't think anyone'll doubt you."
Mordecai has completed his Personal Study and may select a subcategory to specialise in.[b/]
Mordecai gains +3 DR towards the next battle.
Mordecai gains +1 CON.

Orrel

Lin slowly nodded.
"Yeah, that sounds like a plan. I'll have to, uh, give that a try." The normally dour smith's anxiety didn't seem to fade, but she did at least seem confident in the advice received. "Thanks. And, uh. . . let me know if you ever need a weapon from me. Feels kind of weird that I didn't make one."

Katarina
Lin shrugged.
"Sometimes. Just. . . doesn't feel right without Vicky to chew on my ear afterward." She shrugged her shoulders again, this time having a decidedly more awkward cast. "That and I still kinda keep that quiet. People are annoying."

"I'm convinced of the skill of all my classmates. Excluding Rosseau, but that is purely because he is a newcomer and thus I haven't observed him in multiple fights yet. An important conviction too, for a lack of it would hamper my performance too."

Lin

Orrel nodded, glad that he had been able to help.

"Dora is nice, she really is. She can be a bit intimidating but she's looking for people that can fight well against her and she'll appreciate you reaching out, I bet. As for weapons... I appreciate the thought, I really do. But I have these fans... They were my father's. And his father's and so on back as far as we remember our family name. To not use them feels wrong. I didn't mean anything against you by it. I know the weapons you've made are masterful."

Steven

"Heh, I appreciate that feeling. I too look forward to matching wits with you. I promise you this. My class will not go down easily. So you and your companions will need to bring your best if you want a chance to win."

"Mhm. I. . . can't really relate, don't have much of a family history, but 's not like I'm going to hold it against you."

Also Lin buys a Fire tome.

Mordecai chooses Grimoire for his extra sub-category, for the record.

: "Thank you, Professor!"

: "Er, not about the money. Sorry about that part."

: "I've been working on those studies for weeks. Now that it's done I'm not sure what to do next."
