"I had a bird dropped on me, and we need to feed the tree. Predation is quite natural, besides. I'd have left it be, left to myself, but if it is quite literally going to fall out of the sky, then I will not let the opportunity pass by."

Summer 1, Year 1

Summer has arrived! Cracks emerge in the soil as the temperature rises!

Petra stabs the bird, inflicting a fatal 2 damage to it! Some of the spirit dryads judge Petra for being a bird murderer. A birderer, if you will.

Doraido invokes Absorption Line on what remains of the Borble at magnitude 1.0. This works for disposing of the body, but it had degraded to the point where the soil made from it is not of higher quality than any other dirt around here.

A raccoon has arrived on the scene! This small-medium sized omnivore is the biggest thing you had to contend with yet!

Raccoon: 20/20 HP

The tree is partially encircled by defenses.
There is a dead bird here

Petra

Toss the bird to the raccoon with a vinewall (1.0) in the hopes that it'll take that and leave us alone.

Oakstance mutters something about being able to make a really small raincloud, just for the tree. Hot, scorching, direct sun would wither plant life quickly if left unchecked.

Summer 2, Year 1

A deficiency in water has halted the tree's growth!

Petra invokes a vinewall at magnitude 1.0, and its enough to send the lightweight bird corpse in the raccoon's direction. Going forward a vinewall that lives, but its not in a strategically useful position will be referred to as a "Random" vinewall. Its there and can probably be used for something, but its unlikely to meaningfully protect the tree.

Doraido invokes heal upon Petra, fully restoring their health!

The raccoon snatches up the bird corpse, and thankfully decides to leave you alone and go someplace else.

The tree is partially encircled by defenses.

"Can you craft a bucket? A suitably large rock should do. Maybe some vines for a handle. The slime can be used to hollow it out and create two holes for the handle."

Petra

"Or, I could do this."

Using some vine from any of the random vinewalls and some stone, Fabricate (1.0) a bucket.

"I can probably make a sled later to make it easier to bring around, but for now, bucket."

"May I suggest we Summon Oakstance to make some rain, while Petra makes something to bring us water from the river."

I don't believe that is possible? Our abilities are set in stone, or clouds in his case. A fog will not help much, and rain unlikely with it being dry and hot.

+1 to summoning Oakstance
Cloudshaping sounds useful to create rain for the tree, this capability is implied if it says starting and stopping storms as examples in the description

"If nothing else, Oakstance will be able to grant us some small refuge from the glare. I'll support their summoning.
And Doraido, weren't you going to retrieve water? I'm rather certain that I, at present, cannot."

(I'm pretty sure that you can't do other notable actions after doing another action.
Also, getting one of us a tier upgrade soon is probably a good idea, as is creating new abilities. I'm pretty sure the tier upgrade would give us at least a 2.0 power multiplier to divvy up, while new abilities could give us more stuff we can actually do.)

-1 to summoning Oakstance

First, power is needed to perform as advertised. Second, the sapling still produces mana, soon one of us may grow stronger, more able. Old Oak seems a better choice long term for being able to make a snake out of the vine wall, which can help carry water and fight.

"I need you to make the bucket first."

(You getting an upgrade would mean more vines, better gear. For me it mostly means better healing and the ability to bind two targets at once, or make a stronger binding)

(I made a bucket. You can see as such in my action. Just because the turn hasn't processed yet doesn't mean we can't act in a logical sequence.)

"A fair point with Old Oak."
+1 to summoning Old Oak.
