Winter 5, Year 0

It begins snowing!

Petra attempts to Petrify the slime. As the slime is Currently Living, this abilty has no effect on it. The slime attacks again, dealing 1 damage to Petra.

Slime: 4/5hp

The cold weather causes the Vinewall to expire. It will be possible to use the vines for Petrify in the future.

As for the web spinning question, it can be a non-combat thing. Note that if it is a non-combat skillset, then it will probably not be usable in mid combat. Sort of like how Petra's Fabricate can make a weapon, but its not practical to do so when a fight has already begun.

[As a question, will there be time for another to be summoned?

Also, summing spiders seems nice until you wonder if they will listen to you.]

...this was not how I intended for Petrify to work. -_-

Petra

"Damnit."

Just start whaling on the slime with the warhammer.

Glass is, as usual, correct.
Yep, as ever, I bestow upon Glass the expected +1
I'm gonna say we go with whatever Glass's idea is.

[Wording is important. Previously Alive means it has to have lived, and died.]

"You implied it was because it wasn't weakened enough yet. Which could be technically correct if 'weakened enough' translates to 'dead'.
I rather doubt it was intended that way at the time."

"You act as if it would have worked if that was the case."

"I thought that how alive it was didn't matter. I was clearly wrong.
Can I please focus on hitting it with the hammer now?"

Winter 6, Year 0

It is gently snowing.

Petra, being able to focus on hitting things with a hammer now, administers a solid hit with his Warhammer to deal 2 damage to the Slime! The Warhammer looks a bit worse for wear after the attack. Just a bit though, the slime isn't THAT acidic. The slime rears up for another attack... And whiffs it!

A pair of Lemmings enters the vicinity of the tree! These rodents are especially active in the winter.

Slime: 2/5hp
Lemming: 2/2hp
Lemming: 2/2hp

Old Oak isn't sure this is any of his business. But it would be a shame to die already. The one on the job doesn't seem like quite the best choice out of the party for this, he feels, although he wouldn't be so rude as to say so out loud. He thinks about that little bite of mana still left to be used and makes a tentative gesture toward it...
Old Oak thinks this is a good time to Summon Inanna.

Doraido denies this. We must reserve, for if Petra falls another could be summoned for a cheaper cost. And reserving it may allow another to be summoned permanently. Eventually.

Old Oak wiggles as if to say, "Suit yourself, if you'd prefer to let the poor fellow take one for the team, but there's no evidence at all that the cost will go back down just because it went up. It could just keep costing more forever." It's a very expressive wiggle.
