On the eve of your leave, your wife quickly approaches you. She takes your hands and stares into your eyes, her own at the brink of filling up with tears.

"My lord and husband, you mustn't go! Who will lead the nation if you die on the field of glory? What of our family? What of me?"

1000 CCE, 2nd Week of Summer

With haste and efficiency the 1st and 2nd Rufian Armies were brought together few days later and marched westwards from the capital city.

Inside the large tent that serves as your mobile headquarters, the aides of your Generals and the Marshal himself roll out the big map of the Camyc region; a place known for its hills and valleys.

"Our enemy is marching in good order from northwest." General Kopke points at the area called 'Hermannic Hills', connected with most of the region with a network of roads. "Their scouts and pillagers were already encountered in the field by our own horsemen, here and here." He points to a wide swath of terrain from north to southwest.

"They might want to march into heart of our nation to capture the capital - or you, my liege - or slowly make their way around while being constantly reinforced and resupplied through Lunan borderlands."

The Generals exchange some more thoughts on the topic.
