An interesting look at three independent developers, each trying to make the games they want to make.

Glorified Toady as the theoretically ideal developer a bit. But considering he most likely is, it's not really a problem.

As a servant of food, you should pray to your god to provide Toady with a banquet.

He he he, that was from a two hour phone interview (I keep rambling on).  I like how a lot of my parts start with "I don't want to sound pretentious, BUT..."  "I don't want to be an asshole, BUT..."  He he he...

the spinning bb round hits jack johnson, scumbag in the lower body!
it is pierced through entirely!
his right kidney has been poked out!
his liver has been mangled!

jack johnson, raider has been shot and killed.

The above (including bbcode) neatly weighs in at 255 characters. Fallout meets DF

What do you mean? He's a gamer. Gamers have perfected the art of fasting. It begins simply, "kay, I'll come to supper in a sec, juslemme beathis guy!" and then gradually, over time, we develop the power to shut out all external distractions be they food, water, air, or toilets.

I always sort of imagined the first step of becoming a developer was to lock yourself in a closet with no food, water, light, or waste facilities and try to last a month.

Toady might, like the most Programmers, live in a 4*4 Tiles - ah i mean meters - room with no Light or even a Window or Bed. He pays each Month 200 $ for Pizza, Pasta etc and 50$ to his Brother for bring the Food to the Computer. For him there is no night or day there are only times then people are annoying and then people are sleeping. The only beloved in his live are his family and the Elfen Warrior Girl in the Adventure mode.

Ok that was a Joke.

Toady is not only a ordinary Gamer he is the genius behind the keyboard. He is maybe the only crazy Scientist the world really needs. With the Money which the most of us is sending him he should have a lucky and very normal live.

Isn't that also the first step down the road to becoming a dwarf?

See, the problem is that he's been importing prepared food.  All I can say is that at least he's got the sense not to pay extra for *prepared food*.
