Grislfort is a tileset inspired by Grim Fortress and various other tilesets.
I felt like most tilesets were either not consistent enough or too 'graphical' for me, so I decided to start editing the tileset I was using, I altered a few tilesets before setting on using Grim Fortress as a base. I kept modifying tiles until I got to something that doesn't distract me with a 'weird' looking tile sticking out.
Grimfort was originally inspired by Tocky and Alexander Ocias, I took a tile or two from the Wanderlust, Little Fort, and Kruggsmash tilesets, and I took the water depth design from Eurydike, but had to modify it to make it work for my tileset.
The creature graphics are burnedfx graphics set, but desaturated and reduced in brightness to better fit the set and color scheme I picked.
The font was originally Bedstead 6x10 by Ben Harris, but I upscaled it to 8x14 and had to redo every text tile.
The color scheme is Taffer's but desaturated and reduced in brightness.
With the exception of the graphics set from burnedfx, almost every tile has at least been touched up, I tried not to just reuse tiles. I think I didn't alter the statue or a couple other tiles from Grim Fortress, but I'm very satisfied with the outcome and thought I should at least share it.
