Is it a thought, concept, or idea?
That's a tough one, but I'm going to say no, not exactly.

Is XII century a concept?

The ambiguity of the words like "concept", "physical", is what leads to the confusion. Very probably there are terms to accurately describe what we want to say, but I just haven't found them yet. It would be a good thing if we learn a few new words to express our thoughts, from playing a forum game.

This is exactly my point, though. The fact that the words are ambiguous means that a more equivocal answer is required in these cases.

I am willing to accept the argument "It was a bad question", but I think that your answer was unnecessarily misleading.

Is it an engineer? (As in the guy that drives a train.)

I think the answer to that question was alright but I apologize if it misled you.

No.

There are lots of times and places it could exist.

If there is at least one particular time and at least one particular place that it exists, then the answer is yes.

So the answer is yes.

This is to rule out things that are completely non-physical.

Yeah, a lot of the previous arguments were about that ambiguity. (I should have asked if it was a physical object instead of if it was physical)

Is it, or was it, alive?
