When it’s shape is changed, does it form back into its original shape when released? (Think a stress ball, a water bottle being sucked of air and then letting the air reform it back into its shape, etc.)
No.

It has mass, can fit into a 1 mm cube, doesn't have particularly high density, but wind doesn't commonly move it...

Is it a substance rather than an object?
Yes.

Depending on the severity of the relevant allergies, such a person could wind up in anaphylactic shock. Dangerous, but possibly survivable?

A common food existing outside of solar system?

...guh.

Okay, so

is is KNOWN to exist (as opposed to theorized but not proven things like alien life) outside of our solar system?

I apparently failed to register the clause "outside of our solar system" when answering this. Answer shoulda been "no"; forgive the muddle  :'(

Table salt is sodium chloride. Sodium is metallic element. The answer is still no?

Almost everything edible contains metallic elements, so he's almost certainly wrong anyway. If it contains... milk, eggs, flour, meat, fruit, vegetables... pretty much anything, it's got metallic elements.
