: "For better or worse, mostly worse, I came with the wannabe knight over here, neither of us took to kindly to the Corisians making a sport of punting a little child around with maces, even if the boy had a damned lucid crystal controlling his movements."
"It is as he said, including the wannabe knight quip..."

Blodeuyn was moving to pick up the cage again as the lady spoke. She forgot that there was another person I the cell aside from the oens she was out in here with. Leaving the cage alone she stuck her tongue out at the cat.

"Don't call a pipsquit or tiny. Cause next time you do I won't be missing you with what I throw at you." she said in a huff. Before turning the the broody man. "Ha you may be stuck here for the rest of your life but I'll only be in here for as long as it take some to get out." she said giving a cheeky smile.

Lenn'art jumps and half shouted some foreign curse as the chained one spoke. After a moment to gather his wits again, he sighs and speaks.
"Well, I'll try to keep quiet at least... Anyway, I did spend a significant time in Evrae, but I am a native Corisian. Lenn'art is my name, by the by."

"Glad to meet you."

Looking at the green-haired girl, he speaks,

"I'd like to know what plan of your's involves escaping without us. I'd rather not be charged because I was in the same cell as you, though I do think it is unlikely we won't be imprisoned for what we do know."

"Honestly, this was not how I envisioned my first trip to this continent would go. Such is life.."

"I am wondering why you yourself are locked up. And if you would happen to know what that sound is."
"The ticking is a signal, letting you know it's okay for people to enter and exit the cell. The cells themselves can tell who is or isn't in them, who should and shouldn't be there... or perhaps merely the number of them. The keys can change those guidelines, and without the ticking period, you couldn't move people in or out without setting everything off."
"As for me... you needn't worry yourselves over me. I lost everything worth remembering by long before any of you remembered your own first words, it looks like."
"Didn't know it at the time, though. Not for a long time."

"Hmh." Viverna merely grunted neutrally in response, keeping her full thoughts on the matter to herself for the moment. "I will help."

That certainly resonates. Family gone, captured by that Clan, being one of the few to survive to adulthood based only upon his voice. A caged bird that wished to leave that place.

"What would you wish to do if you could leave? Or is there nothing left to see."
Still, to be saved by another is a wondrous thing I never could have imagined.

Blodeuyn gave a mocking smile to the black haired man.
"It's a secret. I can't go and tell random people all my secerts." she said before taking a seat in the floor. "but right now I need to rest for my plans later." she finished as she pulled her cloak around herself.

"Speaking from experience, escaping from a prison is only one part. You need to make sure you can keep evading those trying to catch you. Usually what I'd suggest is waiting for the prime opportunity to leave this place. Whether that be a couple days to a couple years from now but..." The cat pauses for a moment, "That kid needs help. The crystal I can care less about but these humans don't hold value in life. All they see are objects to be used as test fodder. I can't sit by while I know a little kid has to go through all that hell." He stares down on the old lady lying down, "Say Granny, what else do you know about those keys? What about the key starts the transfer period? Is purely its shape or is it made out of a special material. Maybe its imbued with special magic? Also, what about the guards? How many of them are usually stationed and how skilled are they?"

While fully acknowledging that the cat's attempt at escaping was perhaps the only option it had, and that they would likely need to work together after this in order to escape the prison. Akira decided to chime in with.
: "Oh really now? You seemed just fine with leaving him behind earlier, when helping him out didn't mean saving your own skin as well...funny how that works."

: "Regardless, we should get to know each other a little more, and find out what we can each bring to the table, unless the rest of you lot wants to stay here and rot with the Corisians.."

"I doubt the outside world has any use for this mad hag. I doubt twice as hard that there'd be anything left I'd want to see again. There's naught left but suffering out there, I'm certain."

The old woman paused, letting the new prisoners plan and argue with each other before retorting.
"Don't presume you won't be sharing this fate. I've seen many try to escape this place hundreds of times, none more than myself. One way or another, you'll die here."
"But if it means you'll waste that many fewer failed attempts just to learn..."

"The keys are enchanted by the head of security upon request. The enchantment only lasts for a short period, often under an hour, sometimes two, before the key is rendered unusable. As for the guards, When they arrive to provide food, relocation, or interrogations, they do so in groups of at least four, though never the same number as those stationed in the cells. Enough to ensure the prisoners are dissuaded from lashing out, and one to procure additional keys, for when relocation and interrogations take too long. Guards only occasionally accompany cells themselves. They are more often consolidated, stationed at key intervals of the dungeon complex. In the event of a wholly unforeseen catastrophe, they'll be able to make better use of communication and their numbers. The cells themselves make for better watchmen regardless. If they catch anyone outside or inside when they shouldn't be, then..."

The old woman paused, before softly cackling to herself.
"Perhaps it would be better for you to learn that lesson yourselves, if you're intent on trying to escape."

Blodeuyn's eyes opened once the old woman finished talking,

"You all are over thinking it. All we do is get them to open the door for some reason and then take them out then make a run for it simple." she said matter of factually. "Or if you all don't like that idea. Then just get me accuses to the inner workings of this stuff and I can probably pull it a part well enough that it stops working. I doubt these dumb dumbs have stuff even close to what the level dwarfs do."

The old woman softly cackled, before her expession turned deathly serious.
"An Assilshan, huh? You and your gadgets, and your mechanisms. You won't find a mechanism you can pull apart here, not with your hands at least. This is a magic cell."
"If you truly trust your mechanisms so much, I advise you to test that firearm you smuggled in, before you try something irresponsible with it."

"Well at least you didn't call me a dwarf like those idiots out there. "

"So you want me to try my gun? No problem.  Though I kind of want to know how you knew I had it." she said as she smooth drew her gun and aimed it at right above the cats head then pulled the triggered.

"Because you said you had it on you, just now."

As the bandit pulled her sidearm out, she noticed that the trigger, and the barrel, were damp and chill to the touch. As she pulled the trigger, a soft click... and nothing else. No gunshot.
"The greatest influx of new prisoners have been from Surth, and I've seen more than a few try that same trick of yours. Blades have difficulty getting out of their sheaths as well, in these cells at least. You don't always see officers bring sabres into the cells, but when they do, they always unsheath them before coming in."
"Hopefully, you'll now better see how little hope you have."
