Ferry drove her dagger into the small of the man's back - was what was supposed to happen. Instead, the magician shifted unexpectedly, and the blade met only air. A dark glob of magic shot past her head before she retreated, gashing him across the side on her way out.

That wasn't what she'd planned at all. She had to figure out what went wrong. Had to learn from it.

But before she could do that or defend against another counterattack, Sara struck the magician down.

"...Not bad," she said, with just a touch of reluctance.

He readies his lance and scouts out a nearby target to finish off.

”Now, to stop a "goon" of my own..."

Valter moves to [E, 9], attacks Swordsman D, and Cantos to [C, 8].

"Ya know what Valter, you're absolutely right. That is unbecoming of a royal guardsman." The lad responded with a huge smug grin on his face. He stowed his bow before twirling out the dagger up his sleeve in an overly flashy way.


"So this new hotshot royal guardsman shall carry the weight of his fellow comrade and not at all comment on what just happened." Wearing his new title with pride he dashed forward ready to finish off the surprisingly competent bowman.
