I'll be funding it a bit late, but next month will be putting in money for your project :) Though it looks like its gonna be funded way before then, but more money is always nice :P Looks exactly like my type of game. Its like you did a secret investigation into the perfect game that always wanted for old trolldefender99 lol.

Kudos for using the the planet in your video that isn't the go-to of everybody else. (I always thought Neptune didn't get enough appreciation.)

I really intend to buy as much license to have an orchestral selection to the game or special interpretations of some compositions.

I hesitated with "Saturn" but the multiple crescendos are too slow for shorts  video sequences and the rythm would be wrong.

Mars is usually the go to but I think it is important to be parcimonious with epicness or there won't remain any epicness for the actually xxXXXEPICXXxx stuffs.

("The slightly bluer one" ;) )

Thanks! Well I create a game that I wish I could play so I naturally end up in a niche. There are still so much game concepts to explore.

This looks really cool! Dunno what your priorities but have a suggestion: in these types of games I love seeing my civilization alive and in detail (like Distant Worlds kinda). Would be cool to have ships taking off and landing, trucks and airplanes moving cargo between buildings, or carts and villagers moving things about depending on the tech level.

Otherwise, looks great! If I have some extra money in the budget this month I'll definitely back it.

Man, I am a huge fan of distant world precisely for this reasons, I always talk about this game. Having a galaxy and civilisations teaming with life and activity will be a core feature of the game along with its sandbox aspect.

If I was totally socially stupid my catch phrase on tinder would be " Hey , Do you play Distant World ? 8)"

I notice there's not much about the city building part, just that cities exist in various forms. Is city building only simulated, or is it something the player controls/directs?

City are built at building scale, so each building is simulated and placed manually, natives city grows organically though and uses a particular algorythm though.

I think I will release more information along with the neat new interface for production building. The city-building and production part can be compared to the ones in the Anno serie.



Hopefully, I will get featured by kickstarter like most other projects that get good fundings but it seems that my project doesn't interest the kickstarter staff. :/

Well, I was referring about the "project we love badge" which really gets attributed without much consideration on sales but rather  a subjective opinion, not the first page featuring which is of course something clearly different. I have seen plenty of "project we love" badges on even smaller projects than mine, the increase in visibility is very significant, that is why I complaign a bit ^^

No I don't have a playable version, I prefer to work hard on a solid engine before adding contents. This is a decision I wont regret later. By previous experiences, I think I will likely waste my time trying to reach any youtuber. Haven't look if there are any specialised youtuber regarding WIP game project where they don't make fun of them.

So the project quickly reached its objective and I am into stretch goal territory and this is a fun one.



To elaborate a bit more, it is currently possible to terraform the terrain with some tool, you can alter the destructible environment but so far there is no terraforming at planetary scale.
The goal is to allow huge terroforming project with planified modification of the atmosphere, biosphere, geology and even the planet orbit (with thruster for exemple). The good news is that most planetologic things are already simulated thanks to the accretion model I use for planet formation and the complex atmospheric simulation, so a planet-wide terraformation expansion is much closer that we may may think :)

Also, pollution will have an effect for the whole planet and will participate to the atmospheric simulation.

I just love playing with planet simulation, my hard-drive is full of things like that, I hope I'll reach that stretch goal ^^.
