caged werebeast

I had a werehare attack my castle, killed a mason turned human and got cage trapped; should i murder or can i keep a werebeast prisoner in my dungeon?  when it turns will it escape?

they stay caged :) got a baby that got infected this go around that luckily got caged aswell

They can be used as timers. Pit him into a single tile hole that contains a pressure plate, and make sure he cannot climb out. Whe he transforms he can activate the pressure plate, if the weight is set correctly. Now you just have to find a useful application for the timer. You could build an automatic minecart bathtub that sends the rider through deep water to wash him, and it is only accessible for one month every year.

@Gigaz: Other way around: When he is transformed, he's trapavoid and thus disabling a pressure plate.
