So I guess no one had an issue with me being intermittently here, and we get two votes?!? In that case, obviously the second choice would be the bats.

Remember, one design goes to one side, the other goes to the other. And we want to extend the war as long as possible.
While it doesn't much matter who gets which of these two designs, going forward, it will.

Glass is, as usual, correct.
Yep, as ever, I bestow upon Glass the expected +1
I'm gonna say we go with whatever Glass's idea is.

Oneidas develops Bomb Bats!

Difficulty: Normal
Result: 3+1=4, Poor

We put a bunch of bombs in bats. Unfortunately local breeds of bat are really weak and have difficulty carrying sufficient amounts of explosives. While the explosions aren’t satisfying, it should still be unsettling to be spattered with bat bits.

Twodes develops the Shiver Armoured Centipede!

Difficulty: Very Hard
Result: 4+2-2=4, Poor

The Shiver is a six-segment armored walking tank thing. You can hear a strange Japanese man with a love of mecha climax in the distance.

But then he feels immediate regret, as the thing is actually pretty bad. It’s pegs don’t actually move too well, making the thing wobble from side to side as it moves. It also has no guns, and is used primarily to bring nauseous troops to their objectives. There are firing slits that double as vomit expulsion holes.

It is now the revision phase.

As with designs, either team could end up with the revised material. If you wish to sabotage a revision (making it worse with higher rolls) be sure to include (BROKEN), (BUSTED), (FUKT) or anything similar to denote that it’s supposed to be shitty equipment.

Aero-Gel Explosive (Broken)
Owing to the difficulties with our weak bats, we have opted to solve the problem by developing an explosive aero-gel that the bats can be bathed in to increase bat range and bang satisfaction.

Locomotion improvement initiative (FUBAR)
The centipede tank is too slow! We must make it faster, by nailing its feet to the ground!

Growth Serum for the Bomb Bats
Clearly the bats are too small to carry the explosives, so we have developed something that, when injected, will cause the bats to grow in size, large enough to carry a larger amount of explosives while still being able to fly

Shiver mobility improvements
The shiver was... well it was something definitely, no one can deny that, but it isn't particularly effective or useful. We've put some basic effort into fixing that by adding shock absorbers and improving the pegs' range of motion.

Why are you guys trying to make bad designs worse? We should only FUBAR excessively good designs.

Bat Incendiary
The purpose of bat bombs isn't to have a large explosive force, it's to start fires in flammable buildings where they roost. By switching out the high explosives we were apparently using for incendiaries, we can successfully cause a reign of terror and make people homeless!

Weaponized Shiver Centipede
We can make it more dangerous to the enemy and possibly everyone else by welding thousands of metal spikes all over the outside of the thing, and modifying it to be able to roll around on its sides to cause more damage to the enemy, also put in seat belts so the troops inside to go flying allover the place.

Sensitized High Explosive Bats
Currently our bats can't carry enough explosive to be effective.
But this is due to the poor energy density of our current explosive imposed by making it unsensitive to shock.
By replacing the current high explosive with an unstable crystalline explosive formulation, several effects should be achieved

- Bats become more effective at unroofing buildings, killing bunker occupants, etc.
- Bats are now impact fused
- Bat handlers must now wear bomb suits
- Potential for cluster detonations increases
- Special care must be used arming and releasing bats to avoid jostling

Designs stolen from the other nation and then improved.
