...and while the allmighty Methiantese Empire was suffering from civil wars and vassals breaking free, a new menace has arrived in the war-torn lands. In the 1st Spring of Year 1300 AD, a flaming stone has fallen from the night sky, crashing in the plains between Tisilenteliya Forest and the Northern Mountains.
Within a year, reports of the strange, huge insectoids arrived in the southern Kingdoms. The Chitines have arrived; huge, eight-legged beasts, with rugged, tough chitin that was resilient to steel. Sharp mandibles able to tear flesh and bone clean from a grown man's body. Soon the plains were overran as the fast-breeding insects found plenty of flesh to feast upon and enough places to ensure safety of their eggs and raise their hideous larvae. Eldrican, Albionese and Sylevessef settlements soon became ruins in which only a dreaded chittering could be heard.
Elves of Tisilenteliya left their Forest, bringing forth the secrets of Magic to fight the Chitines. The insects have died to the sudden thunderstorms. The Dwarven Runesmiths has roused the earth, and so earthquakes and ruptures have crushed the eggs and swallowed the larvae.
But within the year, the Elves were in full retreat, for the Chitines, exposed to magic, have obtained a resistance to the forces. The huge forest of Tisilenteliya, with its vast canopies and dimly lit passages was a perfect breeding ground.
The elves went into exodus as their abodes and tree-bound palaces were overrun by the skulking insects. The dwarves in their halls of Mistemon and Mebekar had to collapse their tunnels, for the dampness of the mines and darkness of the underground halls were also favorites of the Chitines.
But there was as solution - Fireblood-propelled bullets were found to be more than enough to pierce through the tought carapaces of the Chitines, and the liquid Fireblood poured on their young and eggs destroyed them in blink of eye. Faced with the dreaded insects from heavens, the Elves and Dwarves sold many of their secrets, skills and services to obtain the devices with which they could defeat the Chitines.
Decades passed, and with Chitines (relatively) contained, elven, dwarven and human kingdoms and petty states turned against each other, once again vying for power.

Happiness: 3
Population: 3

You have a vague idea what those numbers mean, and the Advisor's convoluted speech is not helping. Oh well, time to get to work!
1339 AD, Spring
The Advisor hastily enters your study, with the Marshal in tow. The middle-aged man takes off his square hat.
"My liege, there are reports that Firemen troops that garrisoned the western border forts are deserting en masse to join a rebellion against your rule! They're led by Yoe of Tech, a young officer who was also one of favorites of Brean."
The Marshal salutes you, touching his pointy helmet.
"The western garrisons are small in number and size. He won't be able to muster more than two thousand. If we take those loyal to you, we can easily double their numbers if we force a battle within the coming week or so."
You decide to...
A) Offer Yoe of Tech amnesty and position in your forces, if he calls off the fight and bends the knee.
B) Send bribes to Yoe's officers and advisors, to end this rebellion before it becomes truly bloody.
C) Wait in safety of your keep.
D) Muster the army and rush to engage in combat with Yoe and his fellow traitors!
