What is the Best Training for Free-Roaming Dogs?
« on: April 10, 2020, 11:54:12 pm »

Due to a Lack of other Ideas, We have been setting Our Dogs on the Surface to free-roam.  Recently, it occured to Us that they might be made more useful by training them prior to Release.  However, We are uncertain what training would be most useful to Us.

What training do you reccomend?

Thank you for your Time.

There's nothing stopping you doing a mix of both! Hunting dogs are faster than war dogs, war dogs are stronger and more aggressive. I usually go for a small pack of hunting dogs and everything else as war dogs. The hunting dogs are good for hunting & chasing kobolds/goblin snatchers, the war dogs are good for heroically fighting to buy you more time in the face of an ambush

You could try pasturing a mix of war & hunting dogs around your fort entrance. Depending on your entrance, maybe a chained war dog too. Then for the roaming dogs use hunters. For the reasons stated by the whisperer.
