Create a tamed vermin with reaction

Hello, I just realized that you can generate a tamed vermin with a custom reaction!

When you drop it, it moves.

Unfortunately, it seems that cannot be targeted by a CE_BODY_TRANSFORMATION interaction :(.

Does it move around normally, or does it zip around at hyperspeed?

I ask because there is an open bug on the tracker about the fact that custom reactions producing vermin discard the creature's caste, leaving them in a rather glitchy state unless you use DFHack to "fix" the reaction before you perform it.

I think that they move normally, but sometimes they disappear for 1 tick.

so what I notice is tame vermin and Vermin are two different item types ... and that with item creation via dfhack one could make a dwarf pet vermin and have them sit on your shoulders.
I guess this set up probably now has a modding way to pull this off.

also this does mean you can make artifact Pets or transfer an artifact state onto a vermin pet.

So, it looks like that bug was fixed back in version 0.43.03 (along with custom embark profiles not working with fish) - I created a soldier ant using a reaction and dropped it on the ground, and it properly became a roaming "soldier ant".

Still, even though Creatures and Vermin share the same raws, they are completely different entities which cannot be changed into each other.
