According to Wikipedia, the DS has a 67 MHz processor, a 33 MHz coprocessor, and 4 MB of RAM.

If Toady could manage to achieve such a task of optimization, I'm sure he'd be a millionaire. It'd take some radical new solutions to achieve it, and he could make a good living licensing those solutions to all major game developers.
