I don't doubt your sincerity, but fences make good neighbours. Besides, I had more enough rice after taking the neutral territories, but not enough to get much out of investing. Please don't take offence if I waste some rice in this way.

No, this is very on point, given that was all my rice. I have 12 Rice, they 45. And even if I take it back, there is no way to continue. I'd just slowly make my way around until I run out of Rice to use.

All the Rice of Chu, and we failed.. The fact that every single roll has been a failure this game does not help any.
