I eagerly await the Museum IV. I've been sitting on a character concept/story for like a year, waiting for a fresh new world to try it out in.

Should probably wait for base building and the next myth and magic prototype gameplay to come out.

Is there any ETA on that? The problem is that, since DF is expected to be in more continuous development from now on, there will always be some bright things on the horizon.
Museum III has taken place in this strange time frame where, from an ASCII players point of view, game development was frozen. (Glad real development is moving again)

No. Which I infer to mean four or five months from now.

Actually, I see your logic. Adv mode is "officially" out now, and we should celebrate that.

Well Toady did promise an update for this week on development plans in the February report. Let's see what the plans are.

I'd be interested in joining a new Museum series! I've been binging a lot of Adventure Mode lately, re-familiarizing myself with the combat system and figuring out some fun interactions with the new healing items and necromancy

Got it! I can start monday!

Crazy to think that this is going to be one of the last turns.
I wanna wrap up some stories, and accomplish a last grand goal.

My design on Makbor/Ringboot included mini games and puzzles for adventurers, but it makes more sense to just focus on monuments instead for anyone who decides to look around forever from now and just for my own interest in leaving something cool behind

I've been to Ringboot! I still need to write it down though.

I think something terrible happened when you visited there which Maloy might not have discovered yet….

Ahhh I see what you meant.... that is actually a dreadful bummer

I had accepted a peaceful end to Maloy was probably up coming, but to get murdered by some random mook and then have the game decide to "impale Maloy on a willow spike" so my body is unrecoverable is brutal. No battle or siege or anything that would indicate why they decided to do that. He died and then off screen they impaled him.

Bummer.

No chance you had a back up from near the end of your turn but before I died? lol

I'm considering my options as I built most of my plans around him and off screen death wasn't something I expected

The body will be still there on a wooden spike. You might be able to DF Hack yourself back to life?

It must have happened before the start of my turn. It happened on a full moon date so I can only presume your werecurse wasn’t removed after all, and that some citizen decided to take you out. Could it have happened while Bralbaard was visiting?

Something terrible happened to my new character while I visited indeed, and I think we need to discuss railway safety.
I was not aware that Maloy was impaled for that though. That might be a bit excessive.
