I don’t find any way down or up. The walls appear to be melting, and I lost my sense of gravity so I don;t know whether I’m on the same floor, falling or rising...maybe the building is magical in nature?

The question I asked you was referring to whether you wanted to continue being the past, thinking about it now it would be the present, so the question is moot, Do you still want to post actions?)
