Adventure mode - sneak attack with companion
« on: February 27, 2020, 06:00:33 pm »

Tried a quest to kill a forest titan in adventure mode. Main char plus one companion dwarf and a yak. Saved outside the quest location and tried a sneak attack. But my companion rushed into the fight, which was not what I wanted.

Did a second try and told him to wait outside. Did sneak into the quest location, started my attack and lured the titan towards my companion. Then I tried to start a conversation with my companion to "follow me again", so he would also join in the fight. But when you are already in a fight this option is not available. You can only talk to the hostile NPC and try to pacify him (cease fighting).

As far as I can see sneak attacks with companions are not feasible. I found the option to manually control all characters. As far as I know you can have 19 companions - manually controlling each is doable for two, maybe three - but gets cumbersome rather quickly.

There is an option to control "party tactical settings". An option to "use same stance as leader" would be helpful.

Are there any other solutions for this problem, I'm not aware so far?
