Irina could see that a part of the area caved in; large boulders blocked the way. Amongst the boulders, there were scattered skeletal remains, along with two dessicated bodies. They wore a rather mismatched apparel and clothes. One of them had a pickaxe sticking from underneath, the other was clutching a bag of stolen funerary artifacts, mostly utensils and jewelry.

In the distance, a relatively recently dug tunnel was curving upwards, part of the rubble obscuring access to it...

Irina moves to 5-3, Investigates

There were more digging tools, some of them crushed under the rocks.

A skeleton, dressed in pieces of armor and leather, had a pickaxe stuck in its back. There was a dusty old ledger by its side.

Irina could also notice claw marks - many, many claw marks - scraped against the boulder blocking access to the tunnel.

[Culise]

Taking care in picking up the ledger in case the well-aged, fragile paper begins to crumble, Irina begins to skim the first pages.

[Haspen]

The alien script was all squiggles and shapes for Irina, not even one letter being recognizable.

[Culise]

"Naturally.  I do apologize, Mr. Dumt, but can you read this?"

[Haspen]

Dumt took the ledger from Irina and flipped few pages.

"You don't read Arvadian do you?..." He read the pages quickly, nodding and humming.

"It belonged to a grave digger who took a bunch of criminals to the hills above us, and over course of few weeks, they've diligently dug up an entrance shaft. He also mentions his magician friend feeling 'a dread presence', and later there was a mutiny amongst his bandit friends. There's more to this story for sure, but I will read into it more closely later."

"Thank you miss, I could've missed this vital clue if not you."
