Lucy looked at the rising sun with a contented sigh.

"This is it, gang. We made it home. It took all night but all the bullshit the city threw at us couldn't stop us from getting here."

"We just got to push a little more. I can feel the celebration party already."

"After the mess the last party landed us in?'"

"Heck no.  I'm going to do the stupid test, I'm going to sleep for a week, and then I'm never willingly going to a party ever again."

"In fact, I'm going to run for the stupid city trade council and beat the rest of the representatives senseless until they agree that parties are now banned.  All party-makers and party-goers and party-whatevers are hereby guilty of a major crime against the city."

"The sentence is death.  Summary execution, to be carried out by me in particular.  And double-death for whoever decides to schedule a party the night before an exam, especially if they spike the drinks.  And triple death for whoever schedules an exam after a party.  And..."

"Bleh.  I just wanna sleep."

"I can relate. I, for my part, don't like the sun all that much. One hopes this fight is wrapped up quickly. I assume your leader will be awaiting our return? I should like to speak to them. I may have a job for you, when this is over."
"Day time.....aye, I'm gonna have to call in sick today. The kids'll be disappointed to have a substitute.

"Well, maybe I can make sure your day off isn't a waste for you."

As safety approaches, Lastelle seems rather sluggish, about to crash after running on adrenaline for so long.

"That job will have to be for someone else of the Warriors, Anya. It'll take me and Bowler a while to recover from this night. But yes, the Boss should be in, and we have plenty of good folks who can do that job."

The Goddess says, A soldier should always greet the sun with a smile. Xerxe said, unsmiling.

Owyn raises his left hand, tapping the plain, wedding band on it.
"You're a very attractive woman, Miss Lucy, but I'd like to go home and be a family man."

Anya nods.
"Worry not. It'll be in a few months, anyway, you'll be well rested."

The party slowly rounds the corner onto Wharf Street, where they can see a figure whistling while walking towards the guildhouse.

You, of course, know this figure. The young blonde youth is Roach, a recent starter at the Warriors, personally headhunted from the Rengoku Riders, a guild based out of the Sanada District. You didn't question it, of course; the Boss was, after all, the Boss, and though they didn't often take recruitment decisions like that, you figured there was something about him the Boss liked enough.

"Well, damn. There goes that idea."

"Oh, hey, Roach. Getting an early start today?"

"...Hail. It's nice to see a friendly face...for once." Xerxe said. Like Roach, Xerxe was one of those newer recruits who were considered 'odd ducks' that people didn't question too much. He wasn't sure what the boss liked about him, though he trusted the mans judgement in these matters...if Xerxe was good enough, so was Roach.

"Ah!"
Roach jumps, almost dropping his guildhouse keys as he sees the Warriors approaching. He scrabbles to grab his sword before realising who, it was, he was about to stab.
"....damn. Turncoat? Big Blue? Lucy? Nico? Didn't the Boss say you'd be back last night? I was up until two waiting to close the guildhouse for you guys. Where have you been?"

"You haven't heard? Someone tried to frame us for murder and put a bounty out."

"But they didn't realize just who they were messing with."

"....wait, what? Seriously? Murder? Bounty? We need to get the Boss involved. Hell, you guys get in. I'll open the door."
Roach fumbles with the keys to open the door as the party gets closer.

"Hey, Roach. It's good to see a friendly familiar face for once."
"Can't wait to lie down in bed and enjoy some tender breasts that I personally marinated in my homemade sauce..."

Largo blinks for a few moments before looking at Lucy.

"..."
"Aight, one comment allowed, girl."
