"I don't know, we've dealt with quite a many cases of villainous mind control in our time. Remember that time with the sugar gliders and the poisoned pasta spoon? That's what I'd call unusual circumstances. Mind-controlled football hooligans don't really hold a candle to it."

Between thoughts, Lastelle captures a card from the table and replaces it with one from the deck.

"Man, adventurer life is weird."

"Yeah, yeah.  This is great and all, but I'm just going to tune this out and take Largo up on his offer."

Lagata glanced at the big guy's hand, then gave him a nudge.

"Wake me up when we get there, would you?"

Then, taking her book satchel and setting it up as a pillow, she reclined on one of the seats.

"And if someone tries to rob me in my sleep, remind Anna that I'm blaming her."

:"Now, Lagata, when you say something like that, you're just tempting me, you know."
:"Boy, though, I'll be surprised if I sleep a wink. I haven't had this much adrenaline in this short a time for a looooong time, you know. Sure, I don't dislike you lot by any means, but it isn't normally quite this exciting for quite this long."

"First she has the nerve to bribe me and then blame me for anything that happens to her....the nerve...."
"A little too MUCH excitement."

"To be honest, I've had fun as well. It's been thrilling and I'm not ready to slow down just yet."

Lagata ignored all of this after a weak "shut up and let me sleep."  Within a few minutes, she was curled up like any other cat, snoozing softly as her tail dangled off the side of the seat.

Suddenly, a loud crash sounds from the back of the train, about a carriage away from the Warriors, like the sound of a window breaking.

After a few moments, before the Warriors can get up to check, a very tired looking Chief, with some of his men trailing behind, appear at the end of the carriage the Warriors are in. The dark-skinned man looks more than somewhat exhausted.

Possibly because, in hindsight, he might have just outran a tram going at full speed.
"Warriors....I demand.....answers."
He stumbles and uses a nearby seat for support. One of his more important looking subordinates reaches to catch him.
"Boss....maybe a breather before you try and fight the Warriors."

"Well, looks like the excitement wasn't ready to slow down either," Lastelle says to no one in particular.

"Yes, we now have time to talk. Have a seat, it's a long story, and you can have a breather before you decide whether or not you want to fight us."

The dark-skinned man stares at Lastelle for a few moments, and then sits down.
"You have....five minutes to explain, then.....I'll decide if I believe you or not."

Largo steps forward.

"We got set up. That's all we can say without any hard evidence at hand. I'll also point to the fact that we don't have a reason to murder him, mostly because we don't have a clue who he was in the first place - at least I don't know him - and also point to the fact that it would be damn easy right now to curbstomp you while you and your men are exhausted like that while we're relatively fit."
"Gotta say though, all of you outrunning the tram on a no-stop track? Heeeeeella impressive, that's the ultimate leg day goal."

"....did you see a tattoo on his neck? One that resembles a hawk in flight?"
The dark-skinned man studies Largo (and the other Warriors) intently.

The dark-skinned man's hand flies to his sword hilt for a few, tense moments as he studies Lucy's expression, and everyone else's.

The lights flicker on the tram.

He lets his sword go.
"...if you had answered anything but that, I would have demanded more. He doesn't have a tattoo."
"Boss? You mean it wasn't them?"
".....I'm not definitively sure, but.....I can tell they're not lying about not having seen him."

"I'm sorry your leader got killed, but right now our asses are on the line and not in the fun way. We have to figure out who stands to benefit both from the crime and framing us for it. There's gotta be someone."
