"Very honorable of you..."
"But I cannot accept that with good conscience. We need to get to Wharf Street, but our scuffle here ensured that we missed the last tram, so that would be one hell of a walk. And someone framed us for a murder we didn't commit. If your crew would escort us, that would only paint a target on your heads."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Yeah. They already used you and your lads to try to stop us, so I don't think they'd have any qualms about hurting you all for real if you came with us. Nice of you to offer, though."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"Don't be ridiculous. I'm an ex-adventurer myself. Wait....murder?"
"....so, the rumours about someone killing the head of the Drake Park Chiefs was true."

The man is.....far more unnerved than he was about two seconds ago when he was down to beat the living daylights out of you.

"Guess it's that Cassius guy? That's the name those headband clowns from Asher Street dropped as justification for our heads."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"At least now we know that much."

Lucy sighed.

"That Cassius guy? The man's practically trying to unify every gang in the city. You all heard about the attack in Initia, right? Nobody wants the Demon Generals showing up on their doorstep."
"Not that I'm involved with that kinda crap. I've got reasons to keep my nose clean. But....word gets around."

[SirAston]

"Honestly, the gang unification stuff really is new to me."
"And given that we're the Wharf Street Warriors, one would think our boss would be one of the first people to hear about such a thing. I mean, Heavenly Emperor material and all that, the boss is a legend around here."

Largo crossed his arms.

"Something's really fishy about all that. Even beyond us getting framed and that crap."
"Anyway, if you want to escort us, your call. But I'd feel bad if you make yourself a target."
" I mean, you mentioned having a wife, you should go home and be a family man at some point tonight."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"Well, my wife's going to kill me either way once she sees the paint. And quite frankly, I'm more afraid of the missus than I am of some wannabe thugs. Ain't that right, lads?"
A murmured assent rises from the still-conscious members of Owyn's brigade.
"'Sides, if you're looking to head to Claudine Street, the Lastreodal line's shut down. Some arse magicked in a flock of sheep into the station after our boys lost tonight and they had to clean up. We were headin' down to Fiorina Street to catch the Vancia line instead, in about thirty minutes. Won't take you to Wharf Street, but it'll get you to Aviane District and you can just walk there."

[SirAston]

"Sounds like a plan. And if we're all going for the same line anyway, then I don't see a reason not to travel together. Any objections, Warriors?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"None here, I guess."

[Dwarmin]

"...Hypnotized? I suppose I shouldn't have hit him so hard then..." Xerxe lamented. It was clear his the real heretics were operating behind the scenes...using others as catspaws...

"I doubt we could get rid of them at this point. What is the saying? You break it you bought it?"

Lastelle was indeed grabbing supplies from vending machines, but she wasn't breaking into them. She took the time to pay for every drink, even if she did bash the machines a little when they worked too slowly for her tastes. Now, however, she returns to her mount, who seems rather... guilty.

"Bowler? What did you do?"

(frantic whinnies roughly translating to "It wasn't my fault! I was seduced!")

Sensing the pegasus' distress, Lastelle hugs Bowler and whispers into his ear.

"Right. And who was this one-armed man?"

(whinnies that other equines would describe as 'downtown', "I ain't snitching! But you gotta forgive me! You know I can't resist a pretty potato treat!")

"And which well can I find him fallen into?"

(whinnies on the verge of tears, "Lastelle, please, I'm begging you! I don't want to go back to couriering!")

"It's alright, the fight is over and nobody is too badly hurt. We'll get through this night, and there'll be plenty of treats back home."

Done with the "conversation", Lastelle continues the hug silently until Bowler seems a little less stressed, then lets go of him and turns towards her comrades.

"Hey, did anyone see what spooked Bowler? I was away for a moment and now he's shaking in his pants...metaphorically."
