You are routed through a number of dummy connections, until you're face to face with a tall, lanky woman. Her grey hair is cut short in an undercut and is peppered in blood reds. A number of wicked scars mark their way across her androgenous face. She's wearing the formal attire of a businesswoman, all crisp lines and polish.

"I am Pheobe Gainer, Pheonix of Sol. I am told you are Ashley of Sol."

The woman dips a nod, her eyes look over the cosmetic glasses she wears, and she takes them off. "I am. May I ask why you are calling and what you need?"

"I am appealing to you, as kin, because I am in a dispute with a noble of the Empyre.  Could we come to some kind of agreement in return for your aid?"

"Two things," Ashley begins after a pause, "How do I know your kin and not a pretender? Secondly, I run a legitimate business. I am not going to risk my standing by fighting a war I know I cannot win. What's the Noble's name?"

"Magnus, the youngest."

"[Merciful God], no. Hah. No. I'll pass."

The planet I’m on has people fighting the Plague. Would you be able to help with destroying the plague without also destroying the entire biosphere?

She shrugs. "I just don't see why you think I would help you without something in return -- do you think we haven't dealt with a fair share of pretenders since Alphias fell?"

"I can give you support and legitimacy in in-family politics.  This was the body of Alphira, second-in-command after Alphias."
