I'd like to ask her why Isela isn't in charge of our fighting in Steelworks Nine.

What gave that impression? I must have missed something

Isela told us that she isn't involved in that fighting, as Emma and William told her that they would handle it alone.

Oh. I agree it would be good to know why she didn’t involve our minister of military strategy and tactics

Emma remains seated as the other Ministers collect their belongings and leave. Armssmith hesitates, before she murmurs, "I will wait outside the door." You give her a permissive nod, turning your gaze back to Emma from where you sit across from her. She straightens a little, returning your curious look with one of her own.

"Why isn't Isela involved in Steelworks Nine?" You gently interrogate.

"Black Nicky is the Last Great Crusader. Do you want word to spread about how little faith she had in your government? About how there's an alternative? Or do you want to make an announcement when you have her captured, bound in chains and standing trial?" Emma shrugs a shoulder, looking at the door. "The only people who knew of your condition were Crusaders. That turned out well."

"That makes sense. Do we have the necessary forces to subdue her?"

"William is working hard. He's pretty skilled in urban combat -- all the gang wars he's been in. He's got his full company of Warmachines with him. Currently its a knockdown, drag-out bloody battle for the city. House by house. Rooftop by rooftop. Slum by slum. We have air superiority, but they've got mobility."

Emma shrugs a shoulder. "I doubt he'll lose, but it will be a pyrrhic victory. One we'll have to afford."

[ZBridges]

"I'll send Cephie to reinforce. I think her skills would be useful in urban combat. Is there any opportunity for displomacy?"

"We haven't tried after our last squad leader had his tongue cut out." Emma gives a crooked, dark grin, "It seems to me that's a beautiful metaphor for 'no talk.'

"Hopefully I'll recover soon so that I can help. I don't want to risk it while I'm still ill. No further questions, and thank you again for taking care of things while I was away."

"[Cephie, things are tough in Steelworks Nine. Would you be willing to help William out? I'd join you, but I don't think it would be good for my health.]"
