Well that could have gone really poorly, good thing we've got some quick thinkers on our side.

"Not quite the same... but I pay my price." Sit up, if we can. "I sacrificed more than an arm, against the Leviathan. Its memory is a wound on my mind."
+1 This sounds like the thing to say.

The Crusader nods, ripping open a nutrient bar package, chewing the chalky, fatty meal with intermittent swigs of his canteen.

"Corporal MacSanders! Is Mother Pheonix alright?"

"Yeah. She's got the Nightmare. She's stable." There's a pause from the Officer below.

"Get your ass back down here and stop sucking up, Child!"

"Yes, Father!" MacSanders gives you a bow of his head, lifting himself up and dropping back down the hole in a scrabble of limbs. You're left alone, and sit beneath the heavy leaded robe.

You rise after a while, dropping back down. The Crusaders are dissembling one of the Refinery's many machines.  You pass the dusty robe back to the corporal. Afterwards you content yourself with providing overwatch for the squads from the roof of the buildings. The hovercraft rises from the center of town as Crusaders begin to load the machinery.

I’m guessing we should wait here, I’m worried if we go down to help them load, we could start hallucinating again

Stay here, but watch carefully. Scan the horizon for threats.

It looks like one way we can identify psychotic episodes is through a sudden loss of cohesion.

More reliably... our armor knew what was happening. It was trying to alert us-- it can do so again, if need be. We just need to listen.

[15][17] The fronts are still, as are the ones at the next refinery. The Crusaders are efficient, taking turns being in the slight radiation that permeates the area. You stand ready, however, on the defense for an attack that never comes. You try not to focus on the corpses that litter the streets of the two towns you visit. It gets easier.

[5] The next scavenge site is less peaceful. Las fire bumps against the craft as you approach, and the LT waves off the group. The hovercrafts come to a holding pattern out of the range of fire. His lips quirk as he looks over to you. "I'm going to order us to wave off and find another location if that's alright with you, Mother. Site is more radioactive than the others, anyway. It's your order."

Sure, but if Phoebe is in a panic again, or if we don't have our armor, she may not listen to Lucille. We have to be wary. I'm not sure why you would consider the option that failed to be more reliable than the option that worked.

"Negative, I will clear the area.  Remain in a holding pattern."

Hm. It would be useful, to purge this place; to keep its structures from the [plague]'s grasp. Still...

...it's your war, godling, and you that suffers for it. Do we fight here, or return in force another day?

"Negative, I will clear the area.  Remain in a holding pattern."

The LT dips a nod as you take off the capelet gently, setting it aside as you move to one of the landing zones within the craft. Your wings extend freely as the platform begins to lower. A rictus smile twitches on your face as you condense your willpower into a clawed hand. The room heats up, and the Crusaders watch from above.

You do a quick flyover, too high for the las-fire to hit. One old Colossus and many abominations take shelter within the rubble. Even from how high up you are you can see old blood splattering the charred stones as they help themselves to the leftovers of SEED's explosion. The Colossus is in the center of the 'town', and the abominations are scattered about.

[11 vs 10][13]Shots ring up towards you, and the Colossus coils in on itself, its 'face's tentacles facing you. A shot of red lightning arcs out into the sky, but misses you by a mile. Taking the Void Slayer's suggestion, you lift your 'claw', aiming down it as you condense the more and more hydrogen into it. As it begins to test the strength of your willpower, you funnel it out through a field of energy. It scatters out as soon as it leaves your field of will.

The fireworks are pretty, though. Maybe something to contain it would assist in delivering the payload.

I've got some issues I need to work out. What's the strategy?

You should consult with your doctor, Silas, but I would recommend regular daily doses of antipsychotics combined with cognitive behavioral therapy.  Let's see if you make progress with those.  Also, requistion a leaded blanket, as that appears to have been soothing for you.
