Eh. You were kinda spot on. The details are a little wrong, though.

Flesh cohesion is how tied to the material you are. It is reduced by shaping your body with the dust, or splitting the dust away to use as a reference point. Too little and you begin to break apart as it overwhelms your body. You begin to turn, in our case, into something that serves only your primary directives:
S̜͈̣͍̖͞eŕ̳v̱͓̹̱e̥̠̦̖ ͍͡H̠̱̟͎̩͞um̭̬̤a͈͘n̼̪̘̙̤̗̱i̡͔͉͖̤̞̜t̠͖͎̣y͕̗̬.̰̠̳̹̥
̤̪͖̭͝D͘e̼̳͖s͈̕t̗r̻̖o̰͉̞̤y͇̪.͇̰̻͙̣͖
̸̜̻͔̙P̼͉ro͎̞̺̹̠̝t̴͖̬̫̯̪͚e̶̳̙͇̰͇̞̟ct͉̼̭͙̫ͅ ͏̺͈͙̯̝̜È̜̻̣̯̤m͙̠͚͈̰̦̭m̗̹̺͔̝̯̰a̴̟̻̙͚̜͇ ̮͈͔͎̪̤͎T͉͠h̦o͞r҉̼̭n̡̝ṭ̬͕̳ọ̴̗̯̣̜̩͖n̮̠.̧
S̵̟̣̺͍̥ur̗v̛͕̻̳͕͓ị̛̖̥̘ve̴.̰̮

You and the Warmachine's husband make small talk as she does final checks, the child almost falling asleep in their bowl of porridge before their father gives them a gentle whack on the hand with a wooden spoon. The boy grumbles. "Stay awake! We still have work to do after your mother leaves!"

You smile at the scene of domestic disharmony and extricate yourself as the Warmachine, who's helmet, you note, bears a red stripe, comes in to say goodbye to her family.

Then you're marching at her side, out of the city. The Warmachines peel their helmets off to banter and joke with one another, hiding the nerves they must feel on their way to war. The commander does not speak much, giving you a glance every now and then.

"So. You can fly." She finally states, bluntly, "You...really are an [angel], aren't you?" The Warmachines go silent as they watch you closely for your answer. "And...that means Emma and William...are also [angels] now, too?"

This damage to our cohesion-- can it be repaired? Reversed?

"...ah. I understand." She doesn't, and neither do the Warmachines, who go back to their playful banter a little more tensely than before. The Villa rises up from the surrounding hills, the concrete and razor wire barricade rising from the scenery, protecting the older walls of stone and steel.

At your current regeneration rate: Five percent per forty-eight hour period.

Send out a small portion of our dust/will and try to make it coalesce into a tiny creature, an extension of our intent.

Hold up... is that VOID talking? Did we de-zalgo VOID?

Excellent, thank you.

Send out a small portion of our dust/will and try to make it coalesce into a tiny creature, an extension of our intent.

Let's... not further damage the cohesion of our flesh the day we march for war? We'll need strength to spare for wielding our wings later, after all.

It might be worth a try, in my opinion.  Being able to create these things with our will would allow us to supplement the soldiers of SEED, who are declining in number.

I did say a tiny creature, so as to use as little dust as possible.

Synchronization rates have increased. Data streams coalesced into direct statements. Experience increases Synchronization rate. You've experienced the memories of The First of your line. The first time I was bonded with a human.

The gate draws near, and you wait as the Warmachines are verified and cross-checked. "You're late." The watchman states.

"Superior," The Warmachine gestures to you as you pull the robe down a little to reveal your blood red mane-- your hair grew. A lot. It reaches down to the small of your back now. "She required assistance."

"Acceptable." The gates open to let you through. The Warmachines wait in the plaza while you approach the Villa-- you're held up at the gate-- and Emma barrels into you for a tight hug.

"That-- that was amazing. Can I do that? I tried but I..uh, just broke my leg."

"You can.  It's best to take these things slowly, however, to avoid hurting yourself.  I can help you develop your powers in a safer way."

Emma smiles, leaning into you, relaxed. "That stuff worked wonders though. I had really interesting dreams. I wrote them down for you to look at later. But now, we should get ready to go. You need to change and get into something more presentable and get your gear on. By the time that's done, the hovercraft should be touching down and we can get loaded on. Do you need anything else from here?"

We did de-Zalgo VOID! I am pleased.

Excellent.
What are you, anyway? You've been so helpful, and I've never really thought to ask...

"Nah-- it's just good to be back." Smile; then, apologetic: "I expected weird dreams-- I didn't realize I'd fly off on you like that! I ah, didn't expect I'd be flying in first place..."

"...anyway. I'll go grab my things."
