Should we see what we can get for free first, for our Ascended and Eric, and then move on to stuff we have to pay for?

We... would do well, not to draw too heavily or too swift from this armory. This is more than a simple shopping trip; it's a matter of relations with our contracted allies, and those relations are strained at the moment.

My thought is this: we refrain from preparing a requisition list for an army at this time. Rather, when the time comes, we include Captain Murdach in our war-plannings: we summarize for him what we're up against, we explain to him what resources are available to us, and we allow the Pirates to outfit a contingent of our Crusaders in a manner they deem fitting. In the meantime, we requisition equipment for ourself and our Ascended (and Eric), perhaps offering to reimburse the Armory for said requisition rather than simply claiming it outside of contract. A token of our "good faith", since the Armorer's questioning it.

That said, Phoenix, I should mention: you are more knowledgeable than we in Pirate dealings. Wield your expertise. Take charge of this situation-- overrule us, when you deem it to your benefit.

That sounds good.  For now, what weapons do we need?  I think we should get shields for Eric and our Ascended, suits for Eric and Emma, and Cutters for each.

That'll do-- along with whatever might catch our heir's eye, mayhaps.

One thing: I've no idea whether Emma intends to take the field, and I don't particularly care to push the matter if not. The shield will be good for her to have regardless, but the armor and Cutter may prove something of a tossup.

Hmm.  Ashley did suggest that we train with all our Ascended.  It's up to Emma.

Purchase enough high level shields for Eric, William, and ourself (if we don't have one already).  Purchase a suit for Eric, and one for William if it can fit his implants.  Purchase level 3 cutters for ourself, Eric, and William.  Also, I think we should get las-rifles for any Ascended that doesn't have one.

In addition, purchase anything else that catches Phoenix's eye.  Also purchase a suit for Emma, but nothing else until we can confirm that she wants to train and fight.

Ah! I'd assumed Cephie would be in possession of all the war-gear she needs already (being an agent of the Empyre and all)-- but now you mention it, perhaps it'd be prudent to send a radio call her way and ask.

Our backstories are our own: flexible, intangible! Egar can't give you much information on that front if he doesn't know what kind of person you want to have been.
