"I picked you up off the street. I gave you a name, a purpose, I cleared the path for you to rule -- and you don't even have the courtesy to spit a decree in my face personally. Where would you be without me, Pheobe?"

"SEED wanted you dead. I saved you. I sent you the Pontifex. I gave you a weak general to break. I gave you the authority of a position. And you tell me to surrender when I could have helped you rule."

"I actually strongly considered giving you the position of Crusader General, given your nearly unmatched political and military experience, and your rare experience with the Plague. When I sent Crusaders to make contact with you, however, you killed them and cut off the tongue of the survivor you sent back.  You were clearly hostile, and to pretend otherwise is nothing more than a farce."

"Of course, if this was truly nothing more than some crazy miscommunication, perhaps we can work together after all."

I’d like to know what miscommunication there was. It looks to me like she is hostile, considering she killed all but one of our Crusaders. I’d really like to hear why she thought that was a good idea. It might be useful to know what she thought they were sent for.

Yeah... cutting off someone's tongue and murdering their companions isn't a normal way to express one's displeasure. Maybe she's just crazy?

To me it looks like she clearly sent a message that she is hostile. I am surprised that she seems surprised that we are now being hostile to her. Did she forget that the killing happened? Didn’t she...What if someone else did it, knowing we’d think Nicole did it/ordered it? I still think it was Nicole, but I just thought about a possible reason why she might be confused surprised about why we captured her.
